Management does very little to control the parking crisis here. They give residents a sticker for their passenger side window to enter the gate and that's about it. Management ask tenants not to park on the first floor which is great curb appeal if you're thinking of purchasing a unit here since it doesn't look like there is a parking issue. However, the reality is management of parking spaces stops at the gate. Literally! Once you enter the gate, and begin driving up to the various floors, parking is chaotic. Residents from higher floor levels park on lower levels (so they don't have to drive to the 6th, 7th, and 8th floors as it can easily add an additional three to five minutes to their trip). So, why live on a high level floor if you're not willing to drive up there? Also, what about the tenants who live on the first floor since they can't park there and it's for GUESTS ONLY? By the way, non-paying personnel. Plenty of parking on your side of the building management; because, is what ultimately happens due to management's lack of practice is a parking shortage crisis. Parking spaces should be limited to one or two cars max with ASSIGNED PARKING implemented and possibly scrapping the guest parking so tenants who do live here have a place to park! This will guarantee tenants who live on their respective floors have a place to park. If you own a car bigger than a Hyundai, you're going to hate parking here. Plus, tenants fly through the parking garage. ON a short, maybe 300 foot stretch, tenants will speed and at the last second break hard to make the turn to travel onto the next floor. I have almost been hit numerous times by these idiots who fly through the parking garage. I've seen several who had to have reached 25MPH in the parking garage. Also, tenants spend good money to live here only to have loud parties, rude neighbors, and stomping. Yes, the stomping above the apartment unit will drive you crazy! I'd be willing to bet management lives on the 8th floor since they're aware and don't want to deal with that. So, due to loud neighbors, parking issues, and stomping, I do not recommend living here until these things improve.
UPDATE: Nice passive aggressive approach. Also, interesting how you got a 10 story parking garage out of an 8 story complex. Working on your communication and stop sounding so condescending! That's as far as I got. Thank you.
UPDATE 2: They changed their original response. Not surprising considering there are 31 units available as of today, 09/02/2023. A lot of people are leaving. Before you know it, they will be offering section 8 housing deals; first two months free and lowering rent as most tend to increase $150 PER MONTH at renewal.
Looks like a lot of people caught the tail end of a good thing and calling it quits as the reviews are misleading. Three stars are fair when considering location...
Read moreI have lived at 2Bayshore for almost 2 1/2 years and I couldn't be happier. The location is one of the best in the downtown area. You are steps to Bayshore Blvd and Tampa Riverwalk, without the downtown hustle and bustle. A walk to the Arena is less than 10 minutes, a plus for huge hockey fans like us! Publix, Walgreens and restaurants are all within walking distance.
The pool is resort style, with grills and plenty of space to entertain guests. The gym is great. It overlooks the pool and Bayshore. Not too bad of a view while working out. 2Bayshore has a living room common area that is big, a den that has computers and conference rooms and even a roof top lounge area that overlooks downtown. At night, it's a pretty cool place to chill. There are weekly events that are designed to bring together neighbors and staff.
The staff in the office are all great! Living there for a while, I've seen management make some changes over time. I will say though, the team working there now is top notch and the best it's ever been! All the ladies are attentive and helpful. Special thanks to Kinga, who made the transition into a new apartment stress free. Maintenance is great and they fix any issues promptly. Although they are not 24/7, there is a number you can call and the issue will be addressed, after hours, if it is an emergency.
The apartment itself, is great. All new stainless appliances. Modern fixtures and granite countertops.
I've seen people complain on here about noise and such. At the end of the day, I understand that I have chose to live in an apartment and understand you will hear your neighbors at times. You're gonna hear the helicopter that flys into TGH. I can't seem to bring myself to ever be disturbed by it, only humbled. Humbled to know that someone is seriously hurt and needs medical attention, can't be mad about that. I've never personally been so disturbed that it's turned me off to living there. I am proud to call 2Bayshore home!
The pricing, I feel, is appropriate for the apartment, amenities and location! It's competitively priced in a booming market. This is the place to be for a growing downtown! Love living...
Read moreUPDATE 2022: This is an update to my review from a few years ago, and I am pleased to say that living at 2Bayshore continues to be a 5-star experience. The Tampa rental market is currently in crisis. Most of my friends and coworkers who live at other apartment communities saw outrageous lease renewal increases of 50-60%. Meanwhile, 2Bayshore--which has better location, amenities, upkeep, and service than the aforementioned apartment communities--offered a relatively modest 7% increase on my lease renewal. This commitment to maintaining reasonable rent increases for long-term loyal tenants demonstrates a high level of professional courtesy and moral standards that is severely lacking in today's rental market. Cheers to Tracie, Farrah, and the 2Bayshore team not only for running a top-notch apartment community, but also for being good people! I have lived at 2Bayshore for nearly two and a half years, and I couldn't be more pleased with my experience here.
The location is fantastic. Located directly at the intersection of the Bayshore walking path and the Riverwalk, directly across the street from Publix, and within walking distance to Walgreens, Curtis Hixon Park, Amelie Arena, Sparkman Wharf, Downtown, and Hyde Park, you will use your car so infrequently you'll often forget where you parked.
The pool, gym, common areas, and grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The office staff and maintenance team are responsive and kind--Lorelle and Talia stand out as being especially fantastic.
The complex is also very dog friendly. The staff are very sweet and welcoming to my dog, and there's a nice community of dog owners that gather nightly after work in the park. There is a non-refundable dog deposit and monthly pet fee, but this is on-par with other complexes in the area.
Although there are several newer facilities popping up in the area, if 2Bayshore can keep their rates competitive, I can't imagine moving...
