Hubz and I decided to go to the Riverwalk since we never been and it was our anniversary weekend (3/22)🥳We purchased the Riverwalk pass which includes 7 activities. Unfortunately, for us, we only utilized 4. That’s our fault. We live over an hour away and didn’t get there until late afternoon. All the museums, I believe, close at 5pm. Next visit, we will definitely get there early. Tampa museum is nice. Amazing art work! We loved the flower room.🌺🌼🌸(It’s probably not called that but it’s a room with flowers on the walls) Riverwalk really is a nice location! I love that the walk is 2.6 miles of concrete. So much to do and see. Performances on the lawn. Just awesome! The best part was the water taxi ride. The views at night are breathtaking❤️Who knew so much history lies in Tampa, Florida! The food area is pretty cool. Almost like a food gallery. There were so many options. Unfortunately, we opted for Mediterranean and it was not good. We know a good gyro and those were not good. They were eh. Overall, very nice experience and a perfect way to celebrate! Will return to experience ALL that is there. Did I mention how cool the tour guides are on the water taxi!!! Sorry fellas…..I forgot your names🥺Eric and Kevin I think🤔 They...
Read moreThis is arguably the prettiest area in Tampa. Coming from a small town in the [second] smallest state in the country, I was amazed seeing the Tampa Riverwalk. It is so beautiful and very well-kept for a highly trafficked area.
It's never overly crowded, but when events happen, there are loads of people who frequent the area. Before COVID, there was always an event happening at the Curtis Hixon and it was nice taking a stroll away from the festivities to look at the water.
There are tons of cute, quaint, and unique little shops and restaurants within walking distance and plenty of street- and garage parking available. Word of wisdom: arrive hours early if you plan on attending a major event because parking will be far and few between.
During the holiday season, it's so beautiful when they light the river or see the boat shows. Very beautiful spot to bring out of town...
Read moreThe riverwalk offers 2.6 miles of sidewalk along the Hillsborough River, mostly a quiet area. The northern part ends up at Armature Works and Ulele restaurant, passes by Waterworks Park for a bucket of water to splash on your head and public restrooms. The long stretch is wide enough for bikes, e-bikes, strollers, and pedestrians, most of whom know the courtesy of sharing the path. Pass by the Performing Arts Center and then into downtown with more traffic and then onto the Convention Center, most along the river. The river offers the water taxi and other water excursions. Busts of historical figures line the walk with views of University of Tampa minarets, the boat house that houses dragon boats and other water crafts. The walk is very busy on weekends so I prefer weekends. Several museums line the southern part of the walk. Bring your water and...
