I had never been to Tampa, and was assuming it would be like a large city like Atlanta: dangerous, dirty and scary. But NO!!! This place was amazingly so clean, so nice and visitor friendly! The River walk is GREAT! You can walk, ride bike, scooter or Segway all the way down it. All along the way there are places to eat and sights to see. Plan on taking a full day and walk the entire way and break it up with food and fun along the way. The Armature Works towards the end is a very large venue with lots of food choices. They even have paddle board rentals along the River. There are water taxis along the way. I always wanted to take them and get a water view of before walking, so I would know where I wanted to visit. Also on the far end there is two islands Davis Island, the home of Derik Jetters $22m home (I’ve heard it is being proposed to be torn down just for the lot! A $22m lot!!!) Davis Island is very quaint and laid back with lots of small quaint places to eat and coffee shops. After the Boltz, Tampa’s hockey team won the Stanley cup, they brought the trophy by one of the local coffee houses and drank coffee out of it! The other island Harbor Island also has an eating area and high rise condos on the channel and the back half of the island is a gated private neighborhood that a lot of the professional sports plays live! There is soooo much to do and see and places to eat! Be prepared to see more pets than people! Apparently everyone has a dog! I am not sure where they all live, in all these 1 bedroom studio high rises?!?! Also visit Sparkmans Warf down by the channel and the cruise ship dock, beside the Aquarium. Tons of places to eat, live music, out door sitting! I can’t say enough about this nice city and the River walk connecting all the cool places and things!!! Plan on taking a few days to...

Biking, walking, children's water park, and boating are favorite activities. Plan to spend the day. Street parking is free for four hours by the Armature Works. Visit the Armature Works for a rooftop river view and an excellent lunch or dinner. Food and drinks are reasonably priced with a selection from amazing pizza, mexican to mediterrainian. A taxi water day pass around $23 provides great city views and easy transport. The water taxi will connect you to several venues around the Riverwalk. The pass is especially nice to relax at the end of the day and grab a few great sunset pictures. If you are visiting the city add this venue to your 'must see' bucket list. April and May are great times to visit with low humidity and cool weather to enjoy the...
