UPDATE DEC 2021 REVIEW: On the outside chance that the owners response was a sincere effort to gain information an insure other customers would not have the same experience I did I sent an email to the address listed in the owners response with all the details of my dining experience in their restaurant.
I now totally understand why this particular First Watch was so lacking in quality and service. The email sent to me using urban slang to address me with an unbelievable scripted response explains completely why I got such poor service. I had to show it to some of my friends in the hospitality industry.
They agreed that it was a scripted response an poorly written at best. Don't expect this place to care about your satisfaction.
I suggest if you want a quality place to have breakfast. Go to the J.W. Marriott restaurants called Driftwood. Over the top food fantastic service. A restaurant that appreciate it customers.
Or even better than First Watch. Try Keke's restaurant on Bruce B Downs. It's another breakfast spot. Not as much ambiance as the J.W. Marriott but 10 times better service an food than this First Watch. Not only that the staff an the management check on you constantly to ensure your dinning experience is Over the top. I can't speak about other First Watch restaurant. But this one I wouldn't recommend.
Dec 2021. This was really a terrible experience. This time I came to First Watch by myself. I was treated with such disdain an aloofness. I wonder if I was in the same restaurant. The restaurant was operating with only about 15 to 20 percent of capacity. Yet it took forever for me to get coffee ☕.
It was like night and day from my first time in the restaurant. An then the light bulb lit up. When I came in last time I was with an Asian lady we were both dress very stylish an they quickly greeted us an was very friendly.
But a lone black man dress very stylish instead of flip flops, shorts an a baseball cap was a person that deserved to be loathed. I have to constantly remind myself that I'm in the deep south. So if you don't look an act like 🤔 the majority your not deserving of professionalism.
I WILL NOT VISIT ANOTHER FIRST WATCH. I'm use to restaurant that provides a higher level of customer service irregardless of ones companion an don't allow the servers personal demons to interfere with its customers service. Will have to go elsewhere to a more upscale breakfast spot in the future.
OCT 2021. Good food an service. Only thing wish they carried turkey sausage an turkey bacon. Personal preference. Would definitely...
Read moreAs of today, I'm still waiting on a return phone call from a Manager. I called and left a message last Friday with a staff. Last Thursday, my Girlfriend and I came here for our monthly breakfast/lunch get together. It was midday and it wasn't too busy. We were seated and Cayla was our server. I ordered hot water with lemon, Kayle Juice, and the Florida French toast. My girlfriend ordered ice water with lemon and the half sandwich with the soup of the day. Our Server returned with my hot water with no cup or lemon for me. I had to ask about my Kale juice, our server's rude response to me was "Thanks for reminding me". While waiting for our order for at least 20 minutes, others that arrived after us, ordered their food and received their food before us. Again, I politely asked our server what was taking so long with our order. When we did finally receive our food wasn't hot. When I asked for additional warm mixed berry compote topping for my French toast her rude response was "Well, this came out fast". Our server never came to our table to ask if we needed anything nor did she refill our waters. It seems she was too busy being outdoors or by the restroom area. I had to get up and step to the check-in counter to ask for a Manager. Once the Manager came to our table (Chris), we addressed our concerns about Cayla's service and the way she spoke. It is unacceptable & unprofessional for a server to speak to a customer in a rude and disrespectful manner. This is a poor reflection of Management and Staff Training. Even though Chris offered to take care of our bill, I feel Cayla definitely needs additional training. I enjoy coming here because of...
Read moreI have to say, I usually have gone to many other locations but the service at this location in New Tampa was so bad. It started when I signed in and I kept getting skipped and finally I went to the desk and they saw how that the employee inputted my info wrong. They had 4 employees hanging around the POS system and two people at the podium. They had 6 tables not cleaned and over 20 people working in the front section. Obviously the management was inexperienced in running their staff.
When I finally got sat, it took 10 minutes until the server came to my table, then another 30 plus minutes to get my food. The table was not level so all the drinks were spilling, So I fixed it my self. Afterwards, I went to the restroom to wash my hands and the sink didnt have any running water. To make things worst we had the worst table next to the bathrooms next to the kitchen, where I was watching the lazy employees just hang in the back as the tables were dirty and they were gossiping with each other and the manager.
Our server was neglectful and had to rely on other servers to get water, napkins and I even had to get my own syrup from a dirty table. I have to say the food was amazing, but their back kitchen expediter had an annoying pitchy voice, that was unpleasant, beside the kitchen staff was not even wearing face masks, which I dont really care, but I thought it was their policy. All I can say is this location needs some serious training, as this is not a good representation of the First Watch Brand. Lastly had to spend $50.00 for this horrible service, the tip should have gone to the...
