THE WORST STARBUCKS EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD!!! Typically the service here is stellar. I'm not sure what happened this time, but it was horrific. I scheduled a coffee meeting with 2 clients for 10am. I arrived 10 mins early and ordered a coffee & croissant. I noticed there were about 5 other people standing at the far end of the counter waiting for their orders so I took a seat and waited. My clients arrived just after 10am. They placed their orders for 2 coffee drinks and 2 more croissants. They sat with me & then the fun began! We carried on with our meeting and eventually realized neither of us had been called up. By this point there were at least 15 people standing there waiting and near as many drinks abandoned on the counter for people that must've left. We went up to the counter and asked when we would get our drinks & food. The girl at the counter seemed confused & overwhelmed and told us soon. We scanned the coffees on the counter a few times to confirm ours was not there. Eventually their croissants came out - no drinks, and they ordered at least 10 mins after I did! I still had none. 10 mins later 1 of their drinks came out. We went back to the counter. The girl couldn't find my order, and made me repeat it multiple times. Eventually she found the receipt in the pile just above her register & said she would get them to make it. She told my client they never took her 2nd drink order (they ordered 2 drinks, 2 croissants, but only paid for 1 drink) but they said would make it now. We had a long meeting & watched several customers get upset and complain. They never made an announcement or picked up the pace.. I finally received the coffee i ordered just before 10 am. I GOT MY COFFEE OVER AN HOUR AFTER I ORDERED IT!! Though the sticker on it says 10:43 am, I ordered at 9:50 something and my name wasn't called to get it until 11:10 am! Read moreI’ve coming to this Starbucks constantly since 2021. In my experience, food is good (not that many mistakes and when it happens they fix it). There’s 2 most issues for me.. Employees - they used to be cool and polite but for a while now they’re not polite at all. Bad mood lack of support. When I need any help, I try to be understanding of how busy they can be at that moment. So I wait until somebody can help me. But they just ignore you, no eye contact like “one minute” nothing… if you say “excuse me” they treat if an atitude. One thing though.. the newer employees tend to be more polite. Overwhelmed but polite. The older employees nooo! (If a few exceptions) Terrible attitude! Today for example, I stopped for a coffee all 3 girls (plus one of the old employees) I see are newer and I will tell you what: they are the responsible for the star services got. Unfortunately, because of the older rude employees I can not give a better review for services. The place is nice inside and outside. But why do they keep this place so cold???! I don’t do lots of reviews but I had to do this because I hope they fix it. This place used to be amazing, it has so much potential and I wish it goes back to the good Starbucks it used to be. I used to have a restaurant and I know how though working with food can be. And my biggest issue used employees the same way good employees would be part of the solution. Advice: get new people training them to keep the principal of kindness (make sure they won’t get in the same vibe of the old ones) and get rid of the old ones who won’t fit in those standards. Ps. I've been going to this Starbucks for 4-5 years as it's the closest one to my house, but their performance is always inconsistent. I'm not sure if it's a training problem or a management problem, but the baristas just don't make the drinks the same, many of them skirting what's acceptable for a $6 drink. My order is always a Pink Drink with no ice. And if it's made correctly, it won't separate at all. However, over the years I've been continuously gaslit by employees who tell me it's supposed to separate or it's because it has no ice. That's not the case and it's annoying every time I hear it.
Separately, they started not filling my drink up all the way. I even pushed back a few times and heard it's a policy, when I asked for a manager or policy specifics, they just made my drink correctly instead (so you can do it and choose not to?!?). I even reached out to corporate to clarify this "policy" and learned it didn't exist. Corporate told me it would talk to management in the region and it did actually get better for like a month.
It's back to being not filled and made with too much Strawberry Acai mix (isn't that the expensive part?!?!).
