This store was absolutely awful if I'm going to shop through and dig through clothing to find stains and dirt and literally things connected by safety pins I might as well go to a salvation army or Goodwill at least the prices will be better. The problem is with the right staff they have great potential from what I saw and engaged with the staff is not care about the customers at all. While I was shopping literally everything I touched and was curious about purchasing had something wrong with it two customers came up to the register with their own items they were trying on and pointed out stains or rips and the staff literally just laughed it off and scoffed at them rolling their eyes, with mindful friendly staff the store could be really great unfortunately they're taking too many items that are not in good quality which overpacks their racks and makes it difficult to clean up the store I would assume because I some multiple personnel just walk past belts to dresses on the floor shoes in piles on their shelves. On top of it they have overkill on signage asking customers to care for the store at least three signs in the dressing room yelling at me that they don't offer plastic bags anymore. I'm not kidding there was a sign on every single wall in the one dressing room that I was in. Signs about how to return items red sharpie making it a point that we understand..... But here's the thing guys if you don't care about your store you cannot expect your customers to care about it either. Also small tidbit information I wound up purchasing two small items and found out at the register they don't offer the point system like all the other Plato's closets I've been to offer, while that's a super small detail, that information on top of the lack of care for their store and customers is a poor judgment there's nothing even encouraging you...
Read moreWent in to sell some clothes, the person who greeted us was so sweet and explained how they purchase things and that set the tone for us when we decided to shop while we waited. However we noticed while shopping another employee was being rude to other customers at the changing rooms, she was also rude to customers that she checked out before I went up to her checkout station. She had forgot to give them back their clothes and instead of handing their bag and suit jacket back to them she tossed them on the ground by the clothing purchase drop off station and walked away. Then her interaction with us wasnât the best. When we got the money from the clothes they took we wanted to buy the clothing we put on hold. She went to look for it and couldnât find it but my husband spotted it and pointed it out and in a snarky tone she says âwe donât put things up thereâ. We both said âno youâre fineâ and âthatâs okayâ to her but she still had a sour attitude. We paid and my husband says to her âhave a great dayâ and she barely responded like âyeah you tooâ again with an attitude. I ended up leaving not saying bye to the first person we met who was again so sweet. So I feel bad about that but I was already upset and wanted to get out of there. Idk if Iâm going to go back even though we found a lot of...
Read moreWe brought clothes in to sell back and waited about 5 minutes in the South Tampa location. When we came back to see if any items were accepted, the staff person said they will take 5 items for $13.00. My concern here is how the staff are coming up with these numbers. There were several shirts in the store that were similar name brands to the ones we were trying to sell, that were priced anywhere from $10-15 each. I understand there is overhead to cover like electricity, wages, etc., but where is the logic here? Offering $13.00 for 5 items (essentially $2-3 each), and then selling those items for $10 each? That is an extreme rip-off that I cannot understand. What especially made me upset was one of the shirts we sold back was an Abercrombie shirt that still had the $60 tag on it!
When I inquired with the store manager about it, she claimed "Generally you get 30-40% of what we will sell the items for and our prices are about 50-70% off the original retail price". Unfortunately the math still doesn't add up to me....
We brought in a $60 Abercrombie Shirt that was unused with the tag still attached. 50% of that would be $30, and 30% of that would equal $9. That would mean the 4 other items they bought back from us averaged about .80 cents a piece, since our ending total was $13.00.
