I walked into the store, and saw a cute dog with a skirt on. I thought,"Oh, this place can't be bad," but I was terribly mistaken. At first it was fine, the guy at the register offered to answer questions, and we asked where the Nintendo DS games were. He promptly pointed to them, and we walked over to the glass display. I had been traveling with my friend, and we were looking for Pokèmon Diamond and Pearl, so we could play together. As we searched through his stock, we only found Pokèmon Diamond. We thought that he might've had Pearl in the back, so we walked up to him (Keep in mind he had offered to answer any questions we had) and asked if he had any games in the back. This is where things got weird. He replied with,"No, this is all I have. Next time, I won't try so hard to get these games." My friend and I were thoroughly confused, but he awkwardly laughed it off and we did too. So my friend said,"Oh it's fine! No worries." We returned to the glass display with the DS games, and looked more carefully, to see if we had missed anything. My friend and I were talking, and my friend told me," So we have Diamond but we need Pearl." Then he interrupted us and said,"I'm not Amazon, I don't always have the good games." My friend and I were utterly shocked at the sarcasm and rude interjection, and we decided to not strike up anything, so we decided to leave. We told my friend's mom that we should leave, and we walked out the door. But before my friend's mom left the store, he told her,"Apparently, I didn't have the games they wanted." We were shocked at the utter disrespect the employee had demonstrated towards us, so I decided to write this review. If you read this Popolo, next time I'll just order...
Read moreAlthough I didn't find what I was looking for, this place was pretty obviously a chill spot for tabletop and video gaming. Large selection of used video games from Atari to modern, priced moderately. Board game selection was pretty minimal (which is what I went in for) and everything was at or above MSRP which made it a miss for me, although I understand it. Catan, as always, with a shelf or two of other modern titles but nothing I was personally looking for. D&D was represented as well. Large lean towards TCGs. It's tricky because as a consumer you're trying to buy efficiently and as an owner you're trying to make a profit. With competitors online like Amazon, BGG, and Noble Knight it feels hard to justify the pricing when you're on a budget. Again, though, I get it. This is a small FLGS. Owner was incredibly friendly and introduced us to the shop cat, Artemis, who kinda stole the show. Took less than 10 minutes to swing through the shop and see...
Read moreSpent $2k in games in my past 4 visits to town. in town on business, went to buy another $200 in games and the clerk, while he is playing computer games changes the prices at the register. Then when I declined to purchase, says “thanks for making me dig through the games”. This guy is the worst. I would be closed down if I did my business this way. Good luck, wish the owner was working but know he has health issues. Unfortunate. Lost retro...
