Thank you for being a space where I as an adult can always find something I want to read. And where my child who happens to have dyslexia and is not a fan of reading is always able to find some thing they want! Last time we went in, my child asked if they had a sequel to the book they found previously. The owners were able to order the next book. My child loves going here despite not being crazy about reading, they always know something will be there for them. I love going here because I’ll either be able to find some thing in the displays I’m excited about, the owners can recommend something, or if I go during special events, they might have authors who I love to talk to and read their books. I stopped by independent bookstore in May and every single author wrote a note for a future reader in the book I purchased. I’ll end up leaving those books in little free libraries over time (after I read them) for someone else to share. But it was so great to see the community support and the selection. Read moreI am completely in love with the Guilded Page! As an author, book nerd and former bookseller, I felt right at home in this beautiful bookstore. The owner, Julia Bodwell, has curated an eclectic and diverse selection of books and book-related items that will appeal to readers and book lovers of all ages. She's also devoted an entire bookshelf to books by local indie authors. My favorite parts of the store are the reading room and the cozy kids' book nook, where my 4 year old daughter spent some time reading and discovering some new books. Read moreWent today for the first time and loved it. It is absolutely adorable and includes a nice cozy reading corner for kids and a whole reading room for adults. (Did someone say book club? I'm thinking book club.) More than anything, though, I was especially pleased to see the diversity of authors.
