What a fun place!! We have been here a few times and absolutely have had a great time! When you walk into this quaint little place, it is like walking into the past. They have so many old pinball machines that are all in perfect working order. The decorations on the wall are second to none for such a hidden gem. I have taken my kids here and spent all day playing the machines. I have also been here with just some adult friends and it is equally as entertaining. You pay one price to get in and then you can play all day! The first time I came, I wasn't sure what to expect with the name having "Museum" in it. It is definitely not what you would think of (walking around and looking at old arcade and pinball machines) as it is definitely hands on. There is no need for quarters as playing all their machines is included in your daily price. And, it isn't at all unreasonable for 12 hours of fun and excitement. Definitely an activity for the whole family no matter your financial state. With Covid, they are taking reservations in order to play because they are not allowing it to get packed, which is also really nice. They do require masks (as of 4/3/2021) but hey, they are open and serving the public to get people out of their houses and having more fun. Great depression buster. The only downside now compared to before Covid is, there is no food within walking distance (besides a small expensive pizza shop a few blocks away). Just make sure you eat before coming. Parking wasn't terrible, we found on street parking less than a block away. They do have a larger lot a few blocks down if it is too full on the streets. However, I would definitely recommend this place to locals as well as tourists for rainy day fun! If you like the 80's arcades and pinball machines, you will...
Read moreSome great stuff. Lots of pinball machines and old console video games. Its priced well, about $14 per adult, $8 for teens, and little ones are free. (See their site for full details). You get a wrist band and have the freedom to come and go as you please for the day. This is great since they don't have food. There are a few restaurants close by, all within walking distance that are reasonable, or you can drive somewhere eat and come back. There is lots of FREE public parking very close by and if you Pokee, lots stops close by. If your significant other or mother is into antiques there are a ton of shops with weird stuff close by so it's a win for the family. The front area has a couple of couches for nonpaying family/friends to hang while waiting (these stayed full most of the day). Now things that can be improved: the games are down both sides and the middle. Problems occur when larger people or those with a stroller or in a wheelchair need to get through the aisle and the gamers are back to back. I did see a family with a stroller and they pushed it against one of the machines, basically blocking its usage. I also saw a child in a wheelchair who wasn't able to play some games since he couldn't get through the crowd. Some areas are a tight squeeze. When this place is at full swing it gets warm (wear shorts &/comfortably clothes). That's when we get a float a few shops over and checked toy shop next door. Another thing, about 6-10 games were out of order. While this isn't tragic it is a bit annoying but can be overlooked. All in all this is a great concept of an Old School Arcade and we will be back with more friends and family. It was a pleasant afternoon and trip down...
Read moreI spend hours here everytime I go, I just get sucked into all the games. The prices are perfect and so many different games that are suitable for all ages! Staff is very friendly, location is great, and games are sanitized. I highly recommend 😃 When you're done with the amazing nostalgic experience here, hop on over next door to Bear Haven, where you can find a vintage toy or collectible to add to your wondrous daily adevnture ❤️
I read some of the negative reviews and am shocked people complain about the price, $14 all day wrist band that let's you come and go as you please, seems to me to be VERY generous.
I actually love the fact that by having no food it brings a sense of community to then give gamers a chance to visit local restaurants and bars and support local and/or small businesses. Also, I completely understand not wanting food or drinks on the game floor as to avoid possible spills and accidents on the games.
There were review complaints about some of the games not working properly or completely out of order, I don't understand where logic doesn't into play that this place has A TON of games that are played by A TON of people! All of the games are older and need upkeep. I've seen kids jerk around joy sticks and bang on pinball machines l, I've seen adults do it too. This lovely place has a lot to handle and they do it gracefully in my opinion.
Replay, keep doing what you're doing because you are killing it 👏 Thank you for having an amazing...
