This was a lovely museum to visit. The paintings by artist, Christopher Still, are breathtaking and beautiful. I think the short documentary video they show at the museum about the artist and Tarpon Springs with its rich Greek culture is nicely done. The museum's historical photos and write ups about The Epiphany Celebration in Tarpon Springs by the Greek Orthodox Community are interesting. Also, seeing the artifacts, Manatee skeleton, and learning how Tarpon Springs fishing for sponges began, the diving and fishing equipment used during the 1900s, and how the sponges are processed is all very interesting. Read moreAttended a Tarpon Arts Lunch and Learn program at the Heritage Museum. Their meeting room has horrid accoustics! I do NOT recommend this space for any type of special events until they implement sound mitigation. The program information was helpful. The speaker was very knowledgeable. Alas, he discussed art but showed crowded small photos of the art. The projector wasn't even aimed at the top of the screen so most people had to crane their necks around other people's heads trying to see. The lunch was fine.
