This has quickly become one of my favorite places for breakfast ever! Excellent food for breakfast and lunch, caring staff and really affordable prices, you can’t beat that!!! They have the very BEST and fluffiest pancakes ever! I’ve brought several members of my picky eating family from all over Tampa Bay, and they all happen to agree with m; the pancakes and French toast are top notch some of the best in town!!! The coffee they serve is truly delicious and the refills come often which I truly appreciate.!!! I am very picky with coffee, and don’t usually care for the taste of regular coffee (so I put a lot of cream and sugar) but I can tell you Bayou Cafes Coffee is great quality and tasty enough to drink it black without adding things to disguise the taste. If you happen to live in Tarpon Springs or just come visit our beautiful small town, make sure you include this place on your list of local gems to try!

Where the locals go; a popular breakfast and lunch diner in the heart of Tarpon Springs historic district. Bayou Café is set inside of an old movie theater from the late 50s to the early 60s. It is very spacious and the atmosphere has a welcoming feel. There is outside seating as well. The staff is very friendly and attentive. And the food? Delicious. All four of us were very pleased! My favorite meal for breakfast, their biscuits and gravy topped with two eggs and hash browns on the side, put a smile on my face for hours. We look forward to returning.

Great place for breakfast! Service was friendly and excellent I had the half order of biscuits and gravy (very good) and the Mrs hash browns. The Mrs had the Early Bird Special that she enjoyed very much Special mention for the coffee, it was great! We will definetly be back here.

We attempted to eat here on Labor Day for brunch but left before being seated due to the poor service. We waited 5–10 minutes without being acknowledged, despite staff walking past us multiple times. The only interaction we had was when an older blonde woman asked us to move so she could get through the door… no greeting, no update, not even a simple acknowledgment that we were waiting. The restaurant was nearly full, but we noticed many tables sitting without food and one guest even had to get up and approach staff for assistance. This didn’t seem promising, and given the lack of basic courtesy at the start, we decided to go elsewhere. I completely understand being busy or short-staffed, but a simple “hello” or “it will be a bit of a wait” goes a long way. Unfortunately, the dismissive attitude left us feeling unwelcome, and we chose...

I lived in Tarpon Springs all my life, born here. So, when a friend told me about this breakfast place and where it was I had to try it. When I walked in a flood of memories came back to me as if I were watching a movie, because Bayou Cafe's Restaurant is set inside of an old movie theater from the late 50s to the early 60s. It is very spacious and the atmosphere has a welcoming feel. There is outside seating as well. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I've only gone for breakfast which was very delicious and plentiful. A friend and I ate a hearty meal for under $15 and with a tip $20. Did I mention we both had...
