My entire David's Bridal experience at this location has been a nightmare and if I could give 0 stars I absolutely would. I made an appointment a few weeks out for a consultation to try on dresses in January, filled out the style questionnaire, and added my pintrest board inspiration link recommended by the questionnaire. I thought the point of that was to prescreen and have potential dresses that fit what I was looking for already pulled for the appointment. I was completely wrong in that assumption. When I arrived, the front desk person told me to just start browsing and pull what I liked (red flag number one). After about 10 minutes of being completely overwhelmed by the dress racks with no one helping me- my stylist finally came and asked if I was ready to try on dresses. I only had like 4 dresses pulled out that I thought I might like but was only really able to look at one rack. I was rushed to the fitting room, and low and behold, my stylist was taking care of another girl at the same time (red flag number 2). The other girl had several other people in her party and I only had one person so I feel like this might have been a reason why I wasn't really getting the attention for my appointment. After every dress I tried on I felt like I was rushed to decide if that was my dress or not. Thankfully one of the 4 was a dress that I liked a lot. The stylist then asked me if I wanted to purchase the sample or order a new dress; I wanted a new one. Alteration appointment was made and they informed me that they ordered the dress and would call when it came in. I got a call from the store about 1.5 weeks later saying that they received the dress but it didn't pass their quality control so they were sending it back. Ok great. I then got a call 4 days before my alterations appointment that opened with 'we have your wedding date listed as today, do you still the need the dress?' My wedding date is in March (red flag number 3). They then proceeded to tell me that they didnt have the dress, it was in high demand, and asked if I wanted to keep my alterations appointment. The entire phone call was so confusing to me. The person then said they were going to call the warehouse to get a better time frame for the arrival of the dress. They called me back and said that it would be in on a Sunday, but then stated that they don't get deliveries on Sundays so maybe it would be in on Friday (I was so confused by this statement) and then asked again if I wanted to keep my alterations appointment for Saturday without actually having the dress present (why?). I rescheduled the appointment. I got the call that the dress had arrived on the Friday before my rescheduled alterations appointment which I was very happy to hear. So, I arrived at my alterations appointment, was handed the dress and asked to go put it on so they could pin it. When I got into the fitting room and pulled out the dress is was absolutely FILTHY and the hooks by the zipper were torn off. Literally the inside of it was covered in makeup. I went out and asked the seamstress if the dress I was given was the sample, she didnt really know how to reply. I thought, whatever, maybe they use the sample dresses to pin for alterations. Wrong. This was 100% my dress. I decided from there that there was no way I was going to trust them to alter so I asked to take it off. Then, I was informed that the dress I received was a sample and that the warehouse was NO LONGER MAKING THE DRESS and they can only give me a sample. This was never relayed to me and it wasn't even mentioned as a possibility at my first appointment when I said I wanted a new dress, if it was I would have never agreed on that specific dress. I wanted to get my money back and look at other options online but my wedding is in 3 weeks so I literally had no other option. They gave me a different sample, still filthy, and also too large/stretched out top part so I will be taking it to an actual seamstress to fix because I have 0 trust in David's Bridal. Stay away from here if you...
Read moreBRIDES BEWARE! David’s Bridal size guide and delivery time is inaccurate and nearly cost me my wedding dress. My dress was delivered two months late, a month before my wedding, and it did not fit as their sizing guide is, as I had to learn, inaccurate. My consultant told me to size down into a 0, and I trusted her. I wish I didn’t.
I tried on my dress in early July 2024 and put down a deposit. It was fully paid for and ordered in early September 2024 with a promised delivery in mid-November 2024. After being assured many times that “the dresses are commonly delivered early”, my dress arrived in mid-January 2025, a month before my wedding.
I was informed by a manager after being remeasured that my measurements indeed match what David’s Bridal considers to be a size 0. My sister had to advocate for me because I was panicking. She asked if someone could call around to other stores, or see if it could be let out by their alterations department, because their first solution was to offer me the worn floor dress I tried on back in July 2024. No other store had my dress brand new. Had my dress been here on time, I would’ve been able to order a new one and avoided everything that unfortunately happened next.
My sister asked if it could be let out. A David’s Bridal seamstress confirmed it could be let out, and the store manager guaranteed no charge for it. We agreed and put our trust in them to help me and make it right.
A week went by until I go in a second time for my alterations appointment, and when I arrive I am put into a cut up dress. Despite it being cut, it still didn’t fit. I am told my hem, bustle, a half lining and steam/clean would cost over $300. I was also informed that my dress would be ready on the day of my wedding… or there’s a rush fee. The top also became loose which I was told I could purchase some tape they had for sale as the solution.
I refused to pay for the other alterations until the dress was properly put together and fit me. A staff member in alterations was adamant we pay the amount or the dress wouldn’t be worked on. Thankfully, the store manager worked with us and I came back two days later to make sure the sides were fully sewn and that it fit me properly.
The third time I’m in, I could tell the stitching was done poorly, and it still didn’t fit. My dress was pinned for a bustle and hem at this point. I was told by the same adamant alterations staff member from earlier that they’d try to get me in the next day or the following to make sure it really fit. I received a phone call from her later that night saying it’ll be six days until they can get me in.
After being given a number that repeatedly hung up on me, I got in touch with the district manager. I told them everything that happened until this point, and they were able to bump my appointment to four days time instead. I was also told all of my alterations would be free.
When we arrived the fourth and final time, my dress’s hem was complete but I was told by staff we’d only be getting a 10% discount and the hem free. At that point, my anxiety hadn’t let me sleep all week from the burden of mistrust and fear created by David’s Bridal and their alterations staff.
I decided to leave with the dress as-is and go to my local tailor. And thank God for her. She’s going to correct the sew job they did and make sure my top fits properly without needing body tape. Bonus, the way she pinned the bustle was not only with way less buttons (for convenience) but it looked way more elegant. And she’s a one-woman show who guarantees my dress will be done in way less time than David’s Bridal.
I really regret ever trusting David’s Bridal and their alterations department. If you’re feeling unsure about coming here, trust your gut. I don’t wish for anyone to be treated this way, especially less than three weeks before...
Read moreI have never been more disappointed in a wedding experience than I currently am. I went to try on dresses and told the woman helping me to order the size I had on. When the dress came in, I picked it up and this part is my fault, I didn’t try it on until I was going to get alterations. The dress was 100% not the size I had tried on in the store. My chest was completely exposed and definitely was not that way in the store with the dress I tried on. I took it back to the store and was told the alterations department could rectify the situation even though I asked to order a new dress in the appropriate size and it would still come in before the wedding. The woman at the desk basically shot me down for that option and scheduled me for an alteration appointment several weeks later. They had to use fabric from the hem of the dress to create coverage for my chest. I scheduled a day to pick the dress up. Then I realized I had a conflict on my schedule and called to see if I could pick up another day. I was told the store now closes at 6 and I would not be able to pick up during the week due to my work schedule. I was told I had to just walk in on the weekend because they don’t schedule pick up appointments on the weekend. I called back another day and was told the store closes at 7:30. Finally a manager for on the phone and made special arrangements for me to pick up 6 days before the wedding. The dress does not look like an alteration job that cost more than the dress itself, it looks like I could have done it myself at home. I will never use David’s Bridal again. You can see from the photos that the dress I tried on fully cover my whole chest, particularly on the sides. And you can see the one I received was significantly smaller in the chest. The altered top looks cheap and doesn’t lay right. The wedding is less than 1 week away so I have no other choice but to wear it as is. Update: I was contacted by a store manager and was able to go in tonight to rectify the situation. They got me a whole new dress and had it altered while I waited. They didn’t charge me any extra and even refunded my previous alteration charges. I am so much happier with how I look in the new dress and glad they contacted me to...
