Spirit Halloween — Local services in Taylorsville

Nothing like being followed around the store by security during our entire time there. He bumped into my wife and I several times and eavesdropped on our conversations twice; the second time he felt like clarifying he doesn't work there. He was clearly security and clearly not shopping. We are not thieves and we both have stable, well-paying jobs. Our experience made us feel uncomfortable and we felt like not even buying anything at all, but we ended up buying a couple of masks. We won't be shopping here in the future, though. The security personnel needs some lessons on how to watch people who are actually stealing and how to remain undercover. On top of this, they had a lot of empty shelves. We were also clearly being rushed while looking for pins to buy at the front desk. Spirit Halloween is one of our favorite stores; we wait all year to shop at their stores. I am not happy with this year's trip to Spirit. I went in to get a costume and due to covid was told I would have to try it on at home but that I could return or exchange if it didn't fit. Low and behold it didn't! When I came back to the store to return it they told me that all sales of clearance items are final & that it was not eligible to be returned. No where on the receipt, posted in the store or on their website does it say the clearance sales are final. They did offer me a chance to exchange it but this was not a good option because most of the stuff in the store is too small. I doubt I will ever be dong business with Spirit again. The manager didn't know the difference between Marvel and DC I asked her for Black Widow she showed me Wonder woman when I asked for the Marvel section she said this our Marvel section all she had was Batman, Riddler, Poison Ivy and when I disagreed with her she got rude I asked her to show me weapons that Widow would use she showed me a sword and a shield(king Arthur time) I said what about her guns,nunchucks or the taser sticks she said in a very snippy and rude manner this is all we have and walked away I told my daughter we drove an hour and a half for this if I could give it less than one...
