Business commerce has an underlying principle, Fair Dealing. Said another way, “Treat situations and others as you would want to be treated”, Simple! We have lost sight of this in our everyday lives. It’s no wonder we are bombarded with this sickness in every aspect of our lives. From our largest institutions, government, insurance companies, medical field, media, etc.; to our everyday courtesy of others, opening a door, not blowing your horn when the driver ahead isn’t prompt or just smiling as we pass others; we all have allowed/enabled this sickness to grow. Businesses, large and small must revolve around the principle of Fair Dealing. The opposite of Fair is business that is just a “meat grinder”, make the sale, take their money, and deal with the results later. Bob’s Discount Furniture is a “meat grinder”! The individual employees we worked with from sales, store manager, delivery/setup, and telephone service all seemed to be quality people. But their underlying policy and procedures are not Fair Dealing. So, the blame starts at the top. My wife and I bought (paid in full), not financed, 3 rooms of furniture (bedroom, dining room, living room) from Bob’s on 2/12/2025, 19 pieces in all. We paid in full $7,000.00. We were told everything was available immediately in the warehouse except 6 dining room chairs which would have to be ordered, available 3/6/2025. We then had a special request (unknowingly the beginning of the end of Fair Dealing supported by the standard excuse of policy and procedures). My wife and I were buying a new condo. Our move in date would be after 4/15/2025. We asked if we could leave the 19 pieces at Bob’s warehouse until after 4/15/2025. We were assured that was not a problem. We discussed that day (2/12/2025) with the sales and store manager, that if a late delivery created a problem, we could take delivery that matched Bob’s timeline. Late delivery was agreed upon. March 6th came. We were notified that the six dining room chairs had arrived. We noticed in the email that our previous 2/12/2025 inventory list of 13 of 19 paid items were down to around 9. We called telephone customer service for clarification. Answer, we sold your items to fill another’s purchase that could have an earlier delivery than 4/15/2025. We were not pleased with the explanation. We could have taken delivery on 02/12. That was not our agreement, and how can Bob’s sale “paid in full” inventory that’s technically not Bob’s, Fair Dealing, Meat Grinder?? We were assured that our delivery would be completed on 04/15/2025. At this point we’re not upset. We just fell in line with the SICKNESS. Sorry for the lengthy story. I’m going to wrap this up quickly. Needless to say, 4/15/2025 came. Delivery 4 of 19 pieces. They sold it again! Bedroom Chest had to be returned because it was crushed in delivery and there was no advanced quality check (policy and procedure). Next PARTIAL delivery was 5/08/2025 and 05/28/2025 All but 1 piece came on May 8th. The dining room table was delivered 05/28/2025, CRUSHED!! No quality check before delivery, “We’ll do better next time”. We’ve been eating at TV tables since April 15th. All I asked for on the new last delivery now 06/04/2025 from telephone customer service; “Can we be 1st so we don’t have wait around again”? Answer, “That’s not our policy and procedure”, MEAT GRINDER! BUYER BE WARE!! Hope this helps. FYI, this is going to be posted everywhere, Reviews, Facebook, AZ Attorney General’s Office of Consumer Protection. Bob’s may try to discredit this by saying my dates are off or the number of pieces is not exactly accurate. The story is “on the money”, no dispute! Don’t be fooled if an inventory count is off 1 or 2 or a date is off 1 or 2 days! I APPOLOGIZE. That’s enabling the SICKNESS!

Read moreThis is a complete review of services and products received from this location of Bob's: wonderful in-store service, horrible everything else. So if you want to know about mattress quality and customer service, this would probably be helpful for you.
Let me begin by saying, my husband and I got wonderful service from the managers, the sales associates, and the salesman in-store. Even though purchasing the mattress took over an hour, I was okay with the wait and was glad we were going to get something that worked for both of us. We were told we would have to wait for over a month to get our mattress because of doing delays, which was hard because the mattress we had was in pretty bad shape yet we made it work.
The day before our mattress delivery, I got a voicemail saying they didn't have the mattress we ordered and instead would be giving us a completely different gel hybrid bed, promising it was virtually the same just softer. (We tried all the beds there, none of them worked for us the way the one we ordered did.) I felt like I didn't have much of a choice, because we needed a mattress, so they said I could return it in 30-90 days if I didn't like it or swap it for the one we ordered when it shipped after a month.
When we got the bed in, it was so much firmer than the one we had originally chosen. It was bearable at first abd I was 4 months pregnant at the time. But soon everything from the way it retained too much heat and left both of us waking up in a pile of sweat to the fact that it would leave a huge dent where my hips were (making it very hard to get out of bed), it was probably the worst mattress I've ever owned. Between 4 and 7 months of pregnancy I had to go see a chiropractor because the bed was literally moving my hips out of alignment.
When trying to return it, getting in contact with someone was a complete nightmare. I called over thirty times in the span of two weeks to reach a human being through their number and never reached anyone. On the last day I could return it someone finally answered my calls and helped me settle a return. They scheduled a day and then no one came by to pick it up. I assumed they'd contact me to apologize for not sending anyone, but they didn't even seem to notice. I had to call again just to reschedule with no explanation as to why no one showed up at the allotted time that I had moved my schedule around.
From this entire experience alone (the sheer inconvenience of the bed quality to trying to get over the phone service to promising they had the bed we wanted and then not having it at all) I will likely never buy from here again. Very kind people, but the products aren't worth the time or money no matter how nice you...
Read morePLEASE NOTE that all positive reviews of this company are of the in-store experience - this is because they literally ask you to write a review while you are checking out. I did this myself, later regretting it because the back end of this company is a joke.
Summary: Good in-store experience, furniture got delivered without hardware/parts, delivery people left a mess and scuffs on our walls, and it takes months to get anything from them. It's now been 4 months and my furniture is not put together.
11/21/2020: 5 Stars. Our in-store experience was great. We worked with Rodney, and he was the best sales person to possibly have - not too pushy but got the job done. Order ##0014802844, spent $5,115 on a bedroom set and mattress. Deliver got delayed 2 weeks after the given date, but that is what we expected because of the furniture shortage/pandemic. To prepare, we cleared out our entire bedroom, gave away all furniture and mattress and redid our floors.
~1/1/2021: 3 stars. We received a call that our mattress would not be available until 2/10/2021. This was very unfortunate as we didn't have a bed to sleep on. Cancelled our $1200 mattress order, as it was delayed almost 2 months past our original date and they still couldn't promise it. Got our mattress in 3 days from Mega Furniture across the street. Great experience over there!
1/8/2021: 1 star. We received our delivery for our bedroom set. The order had missing parts and a broken electronic system in one piece of furniture. The delivery men said they placed an order for parts to be delivered; left trash every where, scuffed my walls and the furniture, and were in a huge rush. Arrived 2 hours before the scheduled time so I had to take time off work. We call a week later about the parts, come to find that they were never ordered. Here we have a bed frame that is non-functional and we have loose drawers sitting in our room with no hardware??? Scheduled delivery for all missing parts to be delivered mid to late February.
2/28/2021: 0 stars if possible. Bed drawer parts are pushed out until APRIL 28???? For some wheels, tracks and screws… How does a bed set even get sent without its hardware?? 4 months I can't even have my bed put together? I would have never went to Bob's if I would have seen the REAL reviews about their warehouse issues. Bad, bad business practice. The in-store employees are tricky about asking for good reviews before you actually deal with the back end. I have now met several friends & family with the same...
