Quality has gone down tremendously! I had the steak with vegetables and about 90% vegetables and 10% steak. Being cautious & a bit paranoid 🙂, I think my last visit was my last as the steak looks so thin and a bit identifiable (to me), like those Steak Ums, & like shavings (the scraps that fall or are left over when carving). I remember my very first time going there the plating was excellent and the taste/quality was exquisite. Not anymore! I understand hard times, loss of business/profit etc. but if you want to keep customers, gain new ones and have people recommend your establishment, you can't, or shouldn't remove the love from your food or it's presentation, as presentation is everything. Even when I cook for myself or others at home, I want it to look inviting.
If I hadn't made it all the way home before looking, I would have definitely returned for a refund. I don't ask for do overs since there's been so many shows, hidden cameras and reports of the not so nice/safe things certain employees do to people's food when they complain or are dissatisfied. They would not do half-and-half on the side, so I got an orange chicken with all noodles and we took it home and shared it. The price on the menu was $12.49 for the large bowl But somehow two bowls with the substitutions wound up being $33.60. Before I knew how big they were, I put the rest of the change in the tip jar to make it $35 spent. The amount of meat on each bowl was not very much. The teriyaki chicken had a really thick sauce that was not good. The bowl was mostly rice or noodles. The orange chicken was the same. I came in from the plasma bank and ordered a latge sweet and sour chicken bowl, no veggie, (the same thing i order with all asian cuisine restaurants) and potstickers. I order the same thing because I have found every place makes the dame dishes a bit differently- and I love how they made my meal!
They hand breaded and fried the chicken and it tastes so much better than any other restaurant I have been to. I asked them to deep fry my potstickers and they did it PERFECTLY, just as I like it!
