If I could give less than one star I would do it. I've just had the worst experience ever with this company. I ordered a gift basket for the family of a man who is critical in the Temple Memorial Hospital ICU. I paid extra to have it delivered same day, within four hours of the order being placed. After six hours it still had not been delivered. They did not call me to explain the delay. I called them and was told 1. "It's a 4000 bed hospital and I have to have a room number." I advised that my order included the room number and the tower. It was on my receipt. Then 2. "Well, we can't deliver to ICU. It's hospital policy." I advised them I had already spoken to the hospital supervisor to confirm that deliveries can indeed be accepted. In fact, the supervisor said she would meet the delivery person at the front desk to personally take it to ICU. They still refused, after having taken my money and never calling me in the first place to report their concerns.and 3. "We've already been to that side of town today. I'm not going back." This man's family has not left his side for four days. He is fighting for his life. A small gesture of kindness in the form of a gift basket would have meant the world to them. Read moreThis happened a few weeks ago. I have been getting flowers from here for years but I will not be back. I walked in early one morning to place my order for my wife for Valentine’s and wanted an arrangement that was included in an email that I had received a few days earlier from Woods. The lady that helped me by pulling up my information and my wife’s information in the computer and then I showed her the arrangement from my phone that was emailed to me. The arrangement was like $90. She immediately stated that the price had doubled for Valentines. I was really taken back since I had just received the email a few days prior and heck I didn’t even want them delivered on Valentines since I always send them early so my wife can enjoy them at work a little longer. The female employee was just so matter of fact about everything and really acted like she really didn’t need or want my business so I went down the street to Precious Memories on 31st and showed them the same picture of the arrangement from the Woods advertisement and they matched the Woods advertised price. Thanks to the female employee at Woods I have found a new Florist over at Precious Memories. Maybe Woods should bring back the older gentleman that used to take my order. Read moreI ordered flowers a week in advance for my mother's birthday to be delivered to her specifically the morning of. I e-mailed in my order knowing that florists in general are busy and have little time to take phone orders. I received confirmation from an employee when I called to confirm the same day that I made the order. I had to contact the shop because they failed to deliver the flowers the morning of as I had requested. When I called the shop, the employee was unapologetic and accusatory in nature. I was also disappointed upon discovery of my order that they used a "stock" arrangement as I had left the arrangement to the discretion of the florist- as they are in fact artists. They initially figured out the issue and "rushed" them to her, at the very end of the day. I had used this shop previously for several different occasions and generally was just met with apathetic customer service. Will not be using them in the future. I would recommend using another shop that has time to listen to your needs, appreciates your business, and makes it right when they mess up- as we all do.
