Jalapeno Express — Restaurant in Temple

Very fresh, delicious food. Compared to many other Temple joints this place is top notch. There are some inconsistencies that we experienced. On the 1st visit we paid after our meal. On the 2nd visit she charged us up front. Also on the 2nd visit instead of serving radish, cabbage and onions, on the side she took it upon herself to ration her own portion mixed in with the pozole entree. Found that to be a little rude since traditionally that is served on the side. The customer should decide how much radish,cabbage, and onion they want with their pozole. You end up playing Russian roulette with your wallet because they do not have any prices posted and also there are no specials to be found on the menu. If you do not follow their Facebook page you would not know about the specials and also it's a mystery how much you are going to be charged because we ended up paying way more for the 2nd visit not knowing how much the individual prices are for the same amount of food. She seemed very overwhelmed and it was a little ridiculous that she called her relatives to come save the day when there was only 2 customers including us. Since it's not a cash only business and she accepts credit cards they should also offer delivery via doordash or other delivery apps. Breakfast burrito is nasty, I didn’t even finish it , store bought flour tortillas and she put 2 of them together to make the burrito a decent size cause the tortillas were not that big , no seasoning on the ingredients in my food so it was very bland and they forgot my bacon! Was very disappointed because I read good things on the reviews and by the looks of the breakfast burrito pics the tortillas looked homemade , I’m not sure if it was just the girl that made it didn’t make it how it’s supposed to be made but she seemed young and she was the only one there to make it .. she definitely didn’t make it the way the pics are shown in the reviews.. and was charged 10$ for that smh …...

This is our second time having breakfast here and it was AMAZING AGAIN!!!! Be prepared to use a translation app but PLEASE don't come in with a karen or Kevin attitude because you know that your European folks took some time to learn unless they were the English!
