I wish I didnāt even have to give a star to level a review because they donāt even deserve that. RUDE and NOT FRIENDLY..
It actually hurts my heart for all of us who experienced the service we did today. I hold a weekly coffee social in the area and like to do it at 'ma and pop' type shops because I believe that is how you help the community. But after today, I am not sorry to say I will not be returning to support BBLB.
First, a few of the ladies who attend ever week had already told the coffee shop that we would be starting to come every Tuesday and at what time. Right there should was their warning for us. However, I don't know if they forgot or didn't believe us but when we arrived today (all at different times, might I add), we were not really welcomed. A few of us had arrived and ordered, another girl came in a bit later and was about to order when the OWNER walked up and said "you guys need to call before you bring this many people in, we cannot accommodate you all". First off, WHAT? You are a coffee shop, how do you ever know what type of crowd you will be getting? What if none of us were even together and we all came in for morning coffee, would you also tell us to call first? Second off, we did warn them and we shouldn't have to call every Tuesday to basically get "permission" to come in. Also to add, no one was being demanding and we all didn't mind waiting a little longer to get our orders. However, we waited for OVER AN HOUR for a coffee and toast. Some even waited OVER AN HOUR for a WATER.
The young man working the checkout and helping the owner, was very polite and kept apologizing to us. However, THE OWNER OF BBLB literally pushed business out the door today. A group of 10-15 ladies will no longer be coming weekly to support you, and for that I am sorry for you.
I really hope, no one ever has to go through a bad experience like we did today. So many of us then felt uncomfortable and unwelcomed, a meetup we use as a weekly get away and destresser was exactly the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love this spot. The atmosphere is really unique yet comfortable, the product quality is high, prices are...low actually, location is unfortunate but easy enough to drive to.
This is the best coffee I've had in Texas. They brew traditional espresso and drip coffee drinks as well as any place I've been to and better than 99% of them anyway. The food menu is efficient, it covers all bases for a cafe AND everything is tasty. The food gives me the impression of care and freshness. Like something my mom would make for me at home, but from a professional kitchen. I see a lot of families coming here for breakfast, always a good sign, and I personally couldn't recommend it enough. It's super rare to find GREAT coffee and GREAT food all under one roof. Most places can do one or the other, but not both so kudos to BBLB! They really take care and pride in their business...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've been here twice. First visit was normal and hit my craving for Lavender coffee.
2nd visit, I waited 30 minutes for a lukewarm grilled cheese and cold fruit to come out (point is, simple food to cook), and then another 5 minutes for our 3 steamed milked based drinks.
I dont know exactly where the hick up is, since I was enveloped in containing an explorative 1 year old. There were a lot of people who left during my time there and still more there. I ordered to go and didn't expect a 35 minute wait for my items. The food was good, and both times the coffee was good. The service fluctuated, and it happened to be a day I couldn't wait 35 minutes for food and coffee. They have really unique options for drinks. I might go back, however, I'm not pre-tipping for...
