Cavender's Boot City — Local services in Texarkana

This store is only getting a star because I can't give them none. This store is completely disorganized inventory wise. The one pair of boots I liked I found in four different places, none of which was even close to what I needed. Nothing is near each other so I am having to search the entire stock on the shelves to know if they have what I am looking for. The associates know nothing other than "everything is out on the shelves" and haven't even tried to look in the back. I am looking for 10.5 EE or EEE steel toe Tony Lama, Justin, or Ariat whether it is slip on or lace up and they don't have anything even close. I was greeted when I walked in the door but other than that I had to hunt for an associate to ask questions and they don't know anything. It's either I don't know, yeah, or I don't think so. The incompetence here is frustrating to the point that I am never going to shop here. I didn't buy anything and I never will. I wish corporate would get involved because this is silly. Hire some people that actually know something about boots other than "these are cute" and aren't flirting with every single decent looking female...

I’m not the type to go out of my way to leave a negative review, but the service was so notably terrible. Especially considering the fact that the workers receive commission. My party was profiled the second we walked in, presumably since we weren’t in western clothing. We weren’t greeted and through the hour we shopped around it was as if the workers were actively avoiding eye contact. We kept joking that we were invisible, trying to find humor in the situation. If I’m dropping over $200 on boots I think I deserve a “Is there anything I can help you find today? “ even a “ hello” would have sufficed. The checkout process was impersonal as well. She didn’t say a word to me other than “ do you need a box?” no smile or anything. I won’t be returning and I recommend that you don’t pay a visit at all. Had a really great experience here and ask for a solid boot person. Haven't been able to wear boots for almost a decade because of foot problem so I wear flip-flops Everywhere I Go. That may not sound so bad in Texarkana but I live in Denver and we have snow. They connected me with the young fella named Chase and he spent a lot of time with me and I walked out with two pair of boots as did one of my buddies that was with me another. I really appreciated that he took the time that he took any listen to what I had to say and he educated me on what I really needed considering my foot challenge.
