Allen's Food Center — Local services in The Dalles

Everything I loved about Allens is pretty much 75% gone. I liked my 12 oz can sodas (variety), competitive pricing, 2 for $2 bags of candy & the employee environment. Ownership changed, prices hiked & they don’t hold the same values as the previous owners. The only thing that has remotely stayed the same is how tight the employees are I enjoy them. We never asked for change as customers & now we have to pay for it. I go to one of the other places right down the road to save $4 a day on Copenhagen & soda. The new owners have undoubtedly dumped a ton of cash into this store. The problem is they're making their customers pay for it with jacked up prices on almost everything they're selling. Nearly every popular item is hiked up in price between 15% to 30%. Don't go here for beer or cigarettes. You'll pay through the nose. I'm guessing this is why their parking lot is always empty.
