Terrible experience – do not trust this place

I took my phone to this shop for what I believed was a simple battery issue. The phone had only six months of use and had been stored safely for another six months, fully functional. I left it with them on a Monday after they told me that if it was a battery problem, they could diagnose and replace it the same day for around $80.

They never called me back. I tried contacting them multiple times, but the response was always “I’m busy, I’ll call you in an hour” — and that call never came. Frustrated, I went to the shop in person on Wednesday afternoon, and they suddenly claimed the battery, screen, and motherboard were all damaged. This was clearly not true.

I asked for the phone back, but they said they didn’t have it and told me to return the next day. When I came back on Thursday, they made a final offer to “fix” it for $250 — for a phone that costs $160 refurbished on Amazon.

I ended up buying the battery myself and doing the repair. When I opened the phone, I found the battery and screen flex cables disconnected, and two screws missing — including one that secures the screen connection, which is a unique part and not easily replaceable.

I was clearly scammed. I lost a working phone by trusting people who are nothing but frauds. Avoid this place at all costs. Hopefully karma...
