Sapporo Japanese Bistro and Sushi Bar is a true gem! From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The decor is tasteful and creates a relaxing ambiance perfect for enjoying a delicious meal. But what truly elevates the Sapporo experience are the people. We had the pleasure of having Chris as our server, and he was absolutely fantastic. Attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, Chris offered excellent recommendations and made sure our drinks were always topped off. He struck that perfect balance of being present without being intrusive – a true mark of a seasoned server. And then there's Nathan greeting as soon. As you walked in the door. Watching Chris work the floor is like witnessing an art form. His precision and skill are evident in every piece he crafts. The sushi and sashimi we ordered were incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and tasted absolutely divine. You can tell Nathan takes immense pride in his work, and the quality speaks for itself. The fish was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the rice was perfectly seasoned. Beyond the exceptional service from Chris and the masterful sushi from Nathan, the rest of the menu also impressed. The appetizers were flavorful, and the cooked dishes we saw being served looked equally enticing. Sapporo isn't just a meal; it's an experience. The combination of top-notch sushi, delicious food, and outstanding service, especially from Nathan and Chris, makes this a must-visit spot. We left feeling completely satisfied and are already planning our next visit. If you're looking for authentic and high-quality Japanese cuisine in a welcoming environment, look no further than Sapporo Japanese Bistro and Sushi Bar. Ask for Chris – you won't be disappointed! And be sure to admire Nathan's artistry at...
Read moreWent out to dinner with my husband. He had really been wanting good hibachi. Ordered his hibachi filet medium-rare. Came out completely well-done. And that was a good 10 minutes before they even brought my sushi roll out. So by the time my roll came out, and him politely waiting for my food, his food was cold. The server dropped mine off and then we really didn't see her again. I tried to say something about his overcooked filet but she had already turned away. To top it off, the booth behind me had a small child that they were allowing to play with the blinds. Despite asking the kid to stop, he kept pulling at and playing with the blinds, which continually covered our table in a nice little snow fall of dust. When our server asked if we wanted boxes for our uneaten food, I said no because the table behind us keeps allowing their kid to play with the blinds, and our food keeps getting covered in dust..my little tray of soy sauce had a solid film on top...she says "oh sorry" and comes back with the $60 check, and takes our completely untouched food away, minus two pieces of a sushi roll and part of his rice. I don't expect a lot when I go out to eat...I was a server in college, I get it....but i always asked if the meat was cooked to how they had asked, and if they obviously had an issue with the food or seemed clearly irritated with the dining, I would at least ask the manager to swing by the table. Won't be...
Read moreI had a less than stellar experience here. I placed an order for pick up. Ordered an edamame appetizer, the Boat Love for 2, 1 pepper tuna sashimi and 1 salmon pepper sashimi so I can truly say I didn't spend $5 there. When I placed the order I was asked if I wanted the soup or salad with the boat. Ok so I go and pick it up and return home. I begin to sort the plates out and there is only ONE salad. It might seem mighty petty on my part, but if the boat feeds 2 people there should be 2 salad or 2 soups. I go ahead and call and the host didn't know 2 salads accompany the entree. She transfers the call to whom I think is the supervisor. She apologized for the confusion and asked if I wanted to go back and pick up the missing salad, to which I said NO since I had just sat down to eat and it was raining. She then offered me a "free" salad the next I stopped by but it seems like a mute point since most entrees come with a soup or salad which are technically FREE already. Again, I sound like a ranting lunatic but just to reiterate I spent over $100.00 plus the tip I left even though I picked up. I feel the least she should have offered was at least a free appetizer for my inconvenience. So super long story short, if you're doing pick up or curbside check you bag before driving off. I was celebrating starting a new job and wanted Sushi. I feel...
