The first time I came to the magnolia location was for a to go order for myself and my two children. When walking in we were informed to go to the bar and order. At the time it was full all the way around. We stood around for at least 5-8 minutes waiting for service and then finally a rude waitress/ bartender came up and said to go order? I said yes she said what do you want? Seeing that it was my first time I asked for a menu. She handed it and then never came back so I asked the manager for assistance. He took the order and we were squared away pretty quickly. Second occasion I went to the panther creek location with just my daughter and I wish I could remember this older mans name but he was amazing And went above and beyond with customer service and honestly just what I needed that night on top of the delicious food which consisted of salmon, jalapeño Mac and green beans. Third time was about an hour ago. Let’s just say I’ve been craving a really good burger for at least a month now. I inhaled it within 10 minutes. It’s cheat day, haha! Yum! I did a very easy and quick online order and then pulled into the take out space. A gentleman came out and said I could wait in my car for my order as I was in the middle of about to get daughter out of car seat. That was fantastic. Another gentleman came out and said food was almost ready and would be out shortly. The food came out promptly after and I was on my way. The reason for me taking the time for this revieW is to let people know that sometimes we experience people during a hard moment or time in their life especially in the restaurant industry where we become busy/ weeded and under a bit of stress that some might not understand and we can quickly misjudge a place by a one time encounter. I was reading reviews prior to this post and came across someone complaining about there party. In return the owner responded and I must say. It was nice to see him using the word perfect and there’s only one person he knows that is. I loved that. May God continúe to bless this company and help us see people...
Read moreWe go there about once a month. The service is pretty good, the food is always good, and the prices are reasonable. It is a clean and nice place to go with a group. They will accommodate changes to the items, e.g., I hate diced tomatoes and they will remove it from their shrimp scampi dish. They do have unique views on some dishes, their chicken piccata isn't close to anyone else's. If you order it expecting a standard chicken piccata, you may be disappointed. I'm not saying it's bad, just that it is misnamed. They should name it something else.
The only real criticism I have is with their desserts. They jumped on the bandwagon for making the portion size big enough for 2. That is so absurd. Not many will agree on what to get, so having a huge portion is a no go. I'm often in the mood for dessert, but I never order it here because too much is wasted.
Update 6 months later;
We still go here about once a month. Food, service, and cleanliness are still good. However, they've changed some of their policies and it's annoying. My friend often orders a $25+ filet and asks for a small container of their house made bacon-barbeque sauce. He used to always get it for free, but 2-3 months ago they started charging $1.50 for it (a small ramekin). He brought it up several times to the server, and sometimes they comp it but most of the time they don't. Seriously, after paying $25+ for a steak, along with perhaps $20 for his wife's dish, they nickel and dime him for that? I'm guessing they have some financial issues and are looking for revenue...
Read moreAbout 5yrs ago, the fates decided that I was destined to relocate from the woodlands. And I cannot emphasize how all to often I found myself craving a plethora of the mouth watering dishes offered here at TRG.
As luck would have it, I found myself in my old stomping grounds and could not shake the insatiable urge to sit at the bar, get myself a blackberry mojito and order my kings share of the menu.
From the moment I was greeted (by a lovely and friendly host, holding the door for me) to the minute young master Rex, my bartender, crafted my immaculate libation. I had suddenly forgotten the passage of years since my last visit. Long before the uncertain times of the pandemic had come, I had already found myself hard pressed to find a restaurant with a modicum of food quality comparable to TRG, and good luck finding the perfect pairing of service to match.
Now I ordered the better half (and it’s all better, mind you) of the menu Togo, but was only able to squeeze a quick picture of my pork chop before devouring it in a maple glaze drunken craze.
It’s imperative to emphasize, I am no one in the inner machinations of this or any store. The only difference being, when I’m here, I genuinely feel taken care of. I have full confidence in every dish I choose from the menu. And when I leave, I leave feeling both full and content. Something that has apparently been lost upon competitors with the passage of the years.
