Our first time starting in Tomball area and we were looking for a great breakfast place. We definitely found it in Ruah Cafe! Beautiful, clean place and the service was top notch. Our waitress answered all the questions we had and even recommended a few options. My wife was in the mood for a coffee drink and hit the jackpot with the vanilla latte. She said it was the best coffee drink she had in maybe forever. I had a black coffee (Americano) and the quality of the brew was evident. For breakfast we both decided on the Amsterdam Toast and we were not disappointed! Everything was fresh, perfectly cooked, poached eggs were just right and the sourdough toast was just what we like. Nice crust, prominent sourdough tang, with Gouda melted on it and some perfectly cooked bacon strips. It came with sides of breakfast potatoes and some very fresh strawberries and blueberries. Worth every penny and we left thinking that we wish we could have tested everything on the menu. Each menu choice is inspired by...
Read moreI have now been to Ruah Café -- twice. This definitely meets my "Would you do it again?" test.
The recorded music playing softly in the background contributes to a relaxing atmosphere: the first time was Bossa Nova; the second time was soft jazz.
The food is excellent and so is the service. My tastes in food usually range from down-home cooking to hamburgers, Italian, BBQ, Mexican, seafood, and beyond, but this is something different.
I have been told the chef strives for an international flavor to crepes. Based on what I have eaten so far, from the Touluse to the New York to the Buenos Aires, I would say mission accomplished, and I plan to enjoy coming back.
The establishment is clean and soothing, with plenty of well-lit parking in a well-traveled area. Both times I have been there, seating was not a problem.
If you are looking for a nice, understated, relaxing place to eat something deliciously different, look no further; it's here...
Read morePros I had an excellent experience at Ruah Café. Ale was very friendly, helpful with the menu, and provided impeccable service. I also had the chance to meet other staff members, all of whom were professional, receptive, and courteous. I ordered the Tokyo–L.A. with salmon as my choice of protein; the dish was beautifully presented and delicious. I love that breakfast is available in the afternoon, making it a perfect spot when you’re craving breakfast or brunch later in the day. I especially appreciated the concept, offering a wide variety of breakfast options from around the world. The decaffeinated cappuccino was very tasty, with an excellent choice of coffee bean.
Cons I wasn’t too impressed with the iced tea, which had a taste of something unusual; I’m not sure if it was from the ice or the tea itself, but there’s room for improvement. I also believe the salmon was farmed; serving wild salmon would better complement the quality of...
