Five Below — Local services in Thornton Township

As an ebay seller i have always gotten my packing materials from recycling bins behind businesses like five below. I went behind this business in home wood and found some decent packing boxes so i grabbed a few. A older white man came out and told me i needed to leave right away or he is calling the police, to which i explained what i was doing is not against the law as all dumpsters are public property per homewood police. He immediately slammed the garbage can lid on my head and proceeded to record me as i left. If i was petty id file a lawsuit and press charges against them for assault. That man could have gotten seriously hurt if i had my sons with me. I also have to state he must have been protecting his items as he had loads of new merchandise in boxes in the recycling bin so that tells me he is a criminal and stealing from the company. We went to the Homewood location and we were looking for some Halloween decor. They hadn't started putting it out yet. My wife went to ask a store associate when they would be...and the young girl I'll call "blondine" because of her blond braids, was not customer service friendly, she was very dry and acted as if we were bothering her for asking.
