For the first time, I had such a terrible experience that I had no other choice but to put one star. I saw an item that I was interested in purchasing; the price wasn't much at all to begin with because after all this is TJ Maxx, but it was on clearance for about $30 less. The cashier automatically made it her point to tell me that the price was incorrect and that it should not have been on clearance and went to change the price. However, that was the price stated and they should have honored it. She mentioned that is not their policy. This is the first time I've ever experienced anything like this. At most stores, if you see a price on an item, the store will honor that price no question asked. Even a small boutique will do the same thing. TJ Maxx is a large chain and should not put policies over great customer service. The manager that I spoke to was no different. I understand that every business has policies. However, policies are created by people. And therefore can be changed, especially if it's beneficial to your customer base. The items there are very much inexpensive, so it's not even about lowering costs. It's the principle that you honor your prices. I personally don't care about policies because again, they can be changed, and there have been policies and laws throughout time that have not benefited certain populations and groups of people. I came in with limited time, just to grab something really quickly to add to my outfit and left very much disappointed. I was also going to purchase another item and made the decision to leave. I will never shop there again. I can understand if the difference in price was greater than $40 but we're talking about a $30 difference for an already cheap item. I'll stick with higher name brand luxury items because I know I will get great customer service. It's a shame because not everyone has that option. For what it's worth TJ Maxx, you should always put your customers first and not your policies. It's the principle not the price....
Read moreIt was okay. I didn’t feel very welcomed. The employees avoid shoppers like the plague and were visibly agitated when conversation was made. Trust me I don’t like hovering employees and I get how it is working retail but a greeting from atleast one person would have sufficed. Every employee I encountered looked me dead in the eyes multiple times and brushed right past me, some even stood directly next to me stocking/conditioning as I shopped. Pretty awkward. The selection wasn’t all that great compared to other locations and some sections were pretty disorganized. The items I bought were overpriced (despite Tj Maxx being known for their low prices) For the most part I’m not too happy with my purchases and feel like I could of gotten the same things with an equal quality for a lesser price at a dollar store or maybe Amazon. I’m pretty certain about...
