The River Oaks Macy's located in Calumet City, IL is terrible. From beginning to end, my visit was TERRIBLE. I arrived at the store at about 5:20....didn't get home until 7:45. I wanted curbside pickup so I followed the instructions on the email which said Click curbside pickup. You're checked in, we'll be out with your order; be prepared to open your trunk and don't let your window down, we can scan your barcode through the window. I sat there for about 20 minutes and then called the number on the email only to get a rude employee on the phone who refused to listen to my dissatisfaction with the instructions on the email. She basically cut me off and said that you should've called the number on the sign. (I couldn't even see the phone number as it was dark outside)I responded by telling her that I understand what you're saying now listen to what I'm saying. I explained that the email led me to believe that I was checked in and my order would be out shortly. She proceeded to just connect me to the department for curbside pickup. The phone rung about 40 times with no answer so I hung up and called back. The same lady answered, I told her that no one answered so she put me on hold again. Finally someone came to the phone. I gave her the requested information and she took another 20 minutes to come out with my order. Her name was Regina and she was THE WORST representative for Macy's that I've ever seen. She came near my window but I couldn't hear her through her mask so I had to crack my window. She was asking for my name, I told her and preceeded to tell her about the flaw with the email check-in. She totally ignored me, turned her back to me and got my order off the cart. I was saying that you're supposed to put the order in my truck she just stood at my window with it and then put the box on the top of my car and walked away. I was FLOORED. Therefore, I HAD to go inside the store, which I absolutely didn't want to do hence Curbside pickup. I waited for a manager for another 20 minutes and by that time I was bowling mad so I didn't even ask for her name nor did she ask mine....poor customer service. She showed no empathy for what I had gone through and finally apologized at the very end of our conversation. I will no longer use that Macy's store again which is absolutely terrible since it's 5 minutes from my house. I left River Oaks Macy's A TOTALLY...
Read moreThis is a disappointing store. I bought some clothes online from this store. Some of those clothes never arrived, and that was my first purchase from the macy's ever. Then, I gave them benefit of doubt. I ordered another clothes. One of those clothes was the neither the size nor the brand that i ordered. To cover up their scam, they refused to send a return label with the wrong item. I ordered Tommy Hilfiger xs for my wife, they sent me DXNY M-size. I went to the store to return the wrong Item, the customer service lady told me to call customer care number. I spoke to the first person who told me they must have swap the cloth for me because the brand i ordered was not availbale. I said what? That must be a joke. She later hanged up me without taking care of my complaint. The second lady told me the same thing. She later told me to wait for return label and take the clot to ups to return. I was furious. Like, they think i dont have life. I have to be running up and down to return the wtong item you sent to me? The customer service lady later processed the return and sent me on my way. Hopefully, i get my refund, otherwise, i would be filling formal complaint. This store called...
Read moreI was so amazed at the Act of Concern of Kindness that was shown to me. Long story short, I am a Heart patient with Type II Diabetes. I became very I'll, sweating, heart beating out of control almost ready to pass out on the in the Shoe Department, didn't make it pass the shoe department. I fell down in the first chair that I saw. A very nice Young lady came out the room from where the shoes were and asked me was I alright," or do you need some water" I told her I needed to rest and catch my Breath. Later she returned and asked again did I need any thing. I told her thank you for looking out for me. "She no problem, that's my job to take care of my customers and I need to inform my Manager what is going on" I said ok. Then she came back and said " hope you're feeling better" It good to have caring, attending, employees like her working and watching out for people not only customer's like me. Kudos to her. I didn't get her name cause I was to sick to ask questions. But she was a young pretty black young lady with long hair, the store just opened up. May God Bless Her. She needs to be employee of the Year. And get a Big Bonus. Thanks again. Ms...
