Aritzia — Local services in Tigard

I’ve been a loyal Aritzia customer for years, and this is my first time shopping at this particular location — and sadly, it was one of the most uncomfortable retail experiences I’ve ever had. I came on Monday, May 19th at around 4:15pm.

From the moment I walked in, not a single associate greeted me or acknowledged me. No one offered to help, no one asked if I wanted to try anything on — nothing. I actually needed assistance as I’m visiting town and wanted to shop for some friends. I’ve never experienced that at any Aritzia I’ve been to. The staff just kept glancing over and then actively ignoring me, which left me wondering what I did to deserve that kind of treatment. I even had friends with me who noticed how off-putting and unwelcoming the vibe was to the point where they wanted to leave.

Aritzia stands by their core values, whether it be the quality of their clothes or customer service. But something about this store’s energy felt completely off, and I can’t help but feel disappointed. I rarely ever leave reviews, especially ones like this, but I felt compelled to speak up in case someone else is considering shopping here.

My daughter and her friend were shopping at Washington Square and stopped into Aritzia (as they always do). After putting some items on hold they were stopped and told that if they "did not return the items they stole, she would call the police". The girls were shocked and the women proceeded to dig through their bag. Of course she did not find anything so the girls left in tears after being yelled at and accused of doing something they did not do in front of dozens of strangers. We are talking about two 14 year old honors students who just won their school debate championship. Frankly, that should not matter. I spent years in retail and yelling at kids with no adult present and no proof or even reasonable cause is absolutely uncalled for. My daughter and I were regular shoppers at that store but there is no way I will step foot in that store again. When I heard about what happened I went in to talk to the store manager and received nothing other than a meek and very insincere "I'm sorry". My daughter and her friend were absolutely and unnecessarily humiliated by a clearly untrained, rude and insensitive employee of this store. I will NEVER...

I’m laughing at all the less than stellar reviews. This place is like a second home to me, I literally get a hug from my favorite person there each time I come in. It seems like people complain about their diligence to make sure you’re not walking around with your hands full. That confuses me, why would I want to hold stacks of clothes in my arms before I walk back to the fitting room? I prefer to have my hands free to continue to do my shopping. Not only as every employee that I’ve ever ran into their Helpful I really have to highlight Eman as probably the main I frequent the store as much as I do.
