I had a deeply disappointing experience with Tomball Auto Glass, primarily due to the unprofessional conduct of the manager and a complete lack of accountability. I had come here before to replace my windshield and that’s why I came back because I was happy with the service until now. While working on my vehicle, the staff somehow activated the anti-theft system, which made my car unable to start the engine. We spent hours attempting various solutions, none of which were successful. Eventually, their staff asked me to call a lock company as a last resource we found online before having to take it to the dealership.

Based on their request, I searched online for a lock company, and called them. After 45 minutes, the technician was able to get the car started. However, when it came time to pay the cost of that service, the manager told her employees to inform me that she wouldn’t pay for the service but that she will give a “discount.” When I insisted on speaking with her directly, she was incredibly rude and dismissive. She said she would only pay half, claiming they might have found a cheaper alternative; however, her team and I spent 4 hours trying to find a solution until her own staff told me to call a lock company because they tried everything possible.

To make matters worse, she insinuated that I knew the lock technician and had planned this with him, which is completely false and frankly insulting. I only followed the instructions her team gave me in good faith. I was there for more than 6 hours patiently waiting for them to try whatever solution they found online to make the car work. I had to cancel personal appointments and even then, I had never insulted them or treated them with disrespect as the manager did with me.

When I mentioned that I intended to leave a negative review, the manager sarcastically said, “I’ll be waiting for it.” That alone says a lot about her attitude toward customer feedback.

Unfortunately, the issue with the anti-theft system still isn’t fully resolved, and my car won’t start. Now I’m left with no choice but to tow it to the dealership and pay even more out of pocket to fix a problem they caused. To top it all off, the shop has roaches which was a concern but didn’t think much of it until I later found that one got inside my car; now another issue I have to worry about.

If you’re looking for a business that values customer service and takes responsibility for its mistakes, look elsewhere. The manager at Tomball Auto Glass showed a clear lack of professionalism and respect for customers.

To be fair, the employees were polite and respectful throughout the ordeal. I truly appreciate their efforts, and my frustration is not directed at them—they did their best. But they deserve better leadership. I will not be returning, and I cannot recommend this...

My husband and I brought both of our vehicles to this establishment on 04/13/2024 at 7:30AM to have the windows tinted on both vehicles. The tech at this location was extremely unprofessional, when the tech pulled my vehicle into the bay my husband waited outside the bay in the parking lot, he wanted to ask the tech to show him what brand of tint he would be using (which is not an unusual request to make when tinting a vehicle, many shops will sell you one brand but put another on your vehicle) the tech told a female employee that my husband needed to go sit down in the lobby and that he needed space then closed the bay door in my husbands face before he could get one word out of his mouth. The tint on my rear window was not cut straight and is already lifting on the corners. This tint also does NOT appear to be 3M. The tint that was put on my windshield is a different color than the windows all around the vehicle, the windows have a brown hue but the windshield does not. My husband was not pleased with the quality of the job or the way this tint looked. He asked the girl at the front desk if this was 3M tint, he even pointed out that the tint does not look like the samples they have advertised in the office. Her response was that she would need to ask the tech what brand he used on my vehicle but that she could not find him. (He was in his work bay with the bay door down working on a Ford F150.) She stated that she would call my husband with an answer on what brand of tint was used on my vehicle. He also canceled his appointment for the tint on his truck while explaining that he was not pleased with the quality of work done on my jeep. No one in this office was concerned that he was not pleased or even asked to come outside and take a look at the tint. The windshield on my vehicle has a black/blue hue and my windows all around have a brown hue. If the tech was going to use two different brands of tint on my vehicle then he should have communicated that to us. I would have said no thank you and took my business somewhere else. This was a rushed and careless tint job. My husband has brought many vehicles to this business over the years and to be treated in a extremely unprofessional way is very disappointing. Moving forward, we will advise anyone not to come to this location. Take your hard earned money elsewhere because I just wasted $422.10!

It’s 6:46PM and we still have not receive a call regarding the concerns on...

I had my windshield replaced just shy of 2 years ago. They had to replace the upper windshield molding when they did the job because they damaged it taking it off to replace the windshield. I know it's almost been 2 years now but that molding just flew off while I was driving home yesterday. I went to my Toyota dealer to order a new one and it's $316 and $125 to install. They told me there is a bunch of adhesive at the top of the windshield where that molding goes and there shouldn't be because it clips in. Basically, Tomball auto glass just glued the molding on because they didn't know how to properly install it and here I am 2 years later paying $440 for their incompetence. Very disappointing.

*follow up to this- i went back in with my molding that i bought from toyota again-- because we bought a molding from toyota when TAG originally replaced my windshield. they said these moldings are pretty much impossible not to damage when removing them to replace the windshield. they replaced it for free so i saved that $125 the dealer was going to charge me. but i watched and asked if the molding had the clips necessary for installation because i did not want it glued again. indeed it did and i watched the guy clip it in place in under 5 minutes. I COULD'VE DONE IT MYSELF. this evidence suggests only 1 thing to me: my molding that flew off because it was glued on was my original molding. so they took the 1st molding i bought from the dealer for +$300 and did whatever they did with it but they sure DID NOT put it on my truck. the factory molding HAS the necessary clips for installation so there's ZERO reason to use adhesive unless THERE ARE NO CLIPS. of course i have no proof and this is just speculation but i think anyone would agree the evidence strongly suggests it's the most logical explanation. BUYER BEWARE. INSPECT what you EXPECT. don't take anyone's word for anything. expensive lesson learned here. i'll add that the staff was quite sassy and rude, considering the circumstance-- clearly because i gave them a bad review because they made mention of it, even in their reply to my review here. the reply is sassy. truth hurts. i spoke with 1 friendly lady on the phone and upset i did not get her name because she was the only bright spot in the whole ordeal and i wish i could give her thanks by name for her concern/proper customer...
