I ventured into Dillards shoe dept for the first time last night needing some dressy shoes for a professional event. I am not a person who enjoys shoe-shopping and have never purchased high-end shoes what-so-ever. I also have some major knee problems so dress-shoes are always very problematic and stressful to pick out.
Medina was absolutely wonderful. She didn't judge me for my lack of knowledge and took the time to address which shoes were appropriate and which would remain comfortable. She assisted me not only in finding beautiful, comfortable wedge shoes for my event, but also helped me find two more pairs for every day business.
I was wanting to get in and out quickly, but Medina put me at ease and made the evening enjoyable. She was friendly and professional, and showed no signs of impatience even though I had to try on 1-2 sizes per shoe. Something I had been dreading turned into a very good experience and she will be my go-to now that I know how much a quality shoe can alleviate physical issues and especially now that I know Kansas hospitality extends to the Dillargds shoe department.

Now I had to ask for assistance in the purse dept. I was waiting & waiting & nothing. I asked another lady nearby & she called over the lady who was supposed to be in the purse dept.
The lady who works purses had been talking to another lady in a different dept just in front of purses. This means she saw me & purposely ignored me.
Once she walked over to assist me, she was friendly. Too little too late. I was already perturbed.
I do not know why the leather bags had scratches on them. I wanted a natural leather bag but I want to put the scratches on my own bag. I am not going to pay full price for a bag with scratches. I’ve bought natural leather bags without scratches so you can’t tell me that’s how they come. These bags just haven’t been taken care of to avoid the scratches.

Read moreIt's been my go to for specific occasion clothing/dresses, skincare, all perfume, shoes, jewelry, gifts, and more since Macy's left the mall ages ago. Even before I loved Dillards, but it was always pricier than Macy's- with little to no sales on 'current' items, fragrance, skincare/makeup, etc.
Love the quality, variety, and style of: clothing, perfume, accessories, and home goods, from infant to elderly!
Customer service is typically positive and very responsive; unfortunately, the skincare/ makeup customer service has weakened the past 5-10 years. I used to know most employees I bought so much so frequently, but anymore, I'm lucky to find someone that's passionate about their role... or anyone at all. It's not the same feel or quality of customer care(imo), and selection of items seems to have decreased... (with no willingness to assist you in getting it from another Dillard's... even after inquiring and explaining...
