I am extremely disappointed with the unprofessional conduct and poor customer treatment I experienced at the Stop and Shop located at 421 Commack Rd, Deer Park, NY 11729. My recent visit on July 10, 2023, left me thoroughly dissatisfied and questioning whether I should continue shopping at this store.

Upon entering the store at 9:45 PM, I was not aware of the closing time. However, at precisely 10:00 PM, an abrupt announcement over the speakers demanded that all customers gather at the front and leave immediately. This initial approach was harsh and unwelcoming.

To make matters worse, the store manager, James, began personally approaching each customer in the store, including myself, and rudely insisted that we must leave immediately. Understanding the situation, I acknowledged his request and informed him that I only needed to purchase two additional items, namely milk and cheese, before departing. Despite my polite demeanor, James chose to disregard my words and proceeded to follow me closely to the dairy section of the store.

At this point, feeling both uncomfortable and disrespected, I politely requested that James cease following me, emphasizing that I was fully aware of the store's closing time and intended to expedite my shopping. Shockingly, instead of understanding my perspective or displaying any basic level of professionalism, James responded in an aggressive and confrontational manner, asserting that he would continue to shadow my every move until I left the premises.

To my utter disbelief, James followed through on his unnecessary threat, trailing me until I reached the checkout line at precisely 10:04 PM. I find this behavior completely uncalled for, as it was only a matter of a few minutes after the designated closing time, and I had been nothing but courteous throughout the entire encounter.

This entire experience has left me deeply dissatisfied and reconsidering my decision to shop at Stop and Shop. As a loyal customer, I expect better treatment and professionalism from the staff, especially from a manager who should set an example for the team.

I strongly urge the management to address this issue promptly. Customers should never be subjected to such unprofessional conduct. I sincerely hope that the necessary steps will be taken to prevent similar incidents in the future and restore confidence in the store's commitment to customer satisfaction.

11/19/22 Store was so busy but the price ofth2 frozen turkey was worth the craziness. Plenty of everything you might need and great sales.

8/28/22 Store crowded as usual, Sale items very sparse. The cashier was fast and accurate.

They have everything I need or want and everything is fresh. As long as you don't use their online pickup order service from at least the Deer Park Store.

We order roughly every 2-3 and the last 4 times we have had to call to complain that we are missing items we paid for. First it was ice cream missing, then it was bread, last time roast beef from deli, now it was english muffins and coffee.
