Every time you think you know where things are in this store, the manager changes it all around. Recently, I went to this store on three occasions to find one simple item. On the third occasion, I found a manager who knew right where it was - in a place I would never have looked.
They do have a reasonable selection of crafting materials - a wider selection than the competitor over in Valu Plaza. However, prices do tend to be higher and this Michael's does not like to stack coupons nor honor competitor offers (their argument is that there isn't an AC Moore or Hobby Lobby in Batavia, therefore they have no such competitor). It will be interesting to see what happens now that the mega-store on Veteran's Drive has opened a crafting / fabric section.

Read moreHobby Lobby it is not, but they have a lot of the crafts your looking for. Paints, canvas, toys, Christmas trees, picture frames galore and all your Circuit supplies. And for the men that are in touch with their very feminine side....Rows of fake flowers. On yeah, don't forget the super pungent cinnamon/pine scented pine cones. Thankfully they keep them outside. How do I know all this you might ask!!! I've been dragged through the store on many occasions. Men, remember this. Smile and nod and pretend that your paying attention. It will go well with you and there may be fringe benefits in it...
Read moreSuper cramped shopping and limited staff to assist. I had some questions and they could not get answered. I assume if you are going to in a position in a store like this that you would have knowledge of the items in your department. This was not the case here. Lots of shoppers and one checker seemed odd when I saw multiple staff members standing around talking amongst themselves completely ignoring the fact that the poor girl upfront was overwhelmed.
I would look for a different craft store like Wal-Mart, for me to say that it was bad because wal-mart is a whole different topic.
