Brings me no pleasure to leave a negative review; however, itâs appropriate.
In summary: they made a screen repair to my iPad after they failed to first give me an estimated cost, which exceeded the cost of buying a new refurbished iPad. They replaced a cracked screen but broke the iPad where the buttons would no longer work and would not issue me a refund by ghosting me and not returning my calls, as well as some other bizarre business behaviors. I filed a credit card dispute for a refund.
Here is the text of my dispute:
This payment was made to a repair shop to fix a cracked screen on my iPad where all other functions were working properly. The business was supposed to call me back with a repair cost quote before repairing, but they did not. They replaced the screen and charged $150 plus taxes and fees, which I paid with credit card. I brought the iPad home and although it had a new screen on it, now none of the buttons worked and it was totally not functional. I called the repair shop and they told me to bring it back on the next day for troubleshooting. I returned to the repair shop to an unlocked and empty store during business hours where no employee was present and I ended up calling a number listed for the office and spoke with a manager who was not at the location. After waiting for 20 minutes, the manager could not contact an employee of the store to assist me and I could no longer wait due to other appointments. I stood in the lobby of an unlocked empty store with my 3 year old waiting for someone to arrive. I informed the manager on the phone that I would like a refund For the cost of fixing the iPad screen which resulted in all of the iPad buttons breaking, and the iPad becoming completely unusable and obsolete. The manager told me he would be responding to the store in 20 minutes and look up what repairs were done and give me a call back. I left after about a half hour total waiting in an empty store as I had my child with me and an appointment to get to. I told the manager this and again said I wanted a refund and the manager said he would look into it and call me back. The manager nor any other employee ever called me back. A refund was never issued. The store did not have me sign any paperwork saying that I release them from responsibility or liability for any further damages incurred onto any hardware or software repaired by them nor is there any waiver or agreement listed within the store.    Read moreMy experience here was nothing short of terrible for replacement of my broken screen. The people were friendly but clearly lacking knowledge, experience, diligence in handling customer needs in a timely manner and reliability in providing needed materials.
I was here in total 5 times for one issue, my broken screen. All of that for my "replaced" screen which was claimed to be a factory screen, to break three days later.
In "fixing" my phone, they ordered the wrong screen, forgot to or improperly reinstalled the earpiece, forgot to call to let me know the screen came in, left a note on door saying they'd be back in 20 minutes and I had to come back and more!
Finally, the screen was replaced after they swore it was a factory/manufacturer replacement which obviously it wasn't after breaking 3 days later. Even if dropped lightly, there is NO screen that should break if indeed legit. I've had my phone 5+ years and dropped a ton and it didn't break until it fell real hard. So, for a screen to break after 3 days, that's ridiculous. I called to express my concern and they didn't offer a refund or replacement until i asked and then proceeded to say they would call back and they never did. Following, I placed a warranty, & purchased a screen protector & a case from the shop to further insure my phone would not break again. Two months later, the bottom of my screen started to come off causing the phone to not respond to when you would touch it, making it unusuable... There was no crack on the phone, and I kept the case on the entirety of the two months since I got it fixed, so I was assuming something was wrong in the way they fixed my screen to cause it to come off because I have gotten countless phones fixed in the past with this problem never occurring. After going to the shop, I was met with no help, no willingness to help, and only thing the lady kept telling me was the $400+ dollar bill I would have to pay again, and that they never did any warranty, or would help with any discounts. After going and trusting them with my phone, not doing a good job on the screen, and then trying to make me pay full price again after messing up the screen and somehow voiding the warranty has led to a horrible experience here, and I wouldn't recommend going to anyone.
