Jewelry Hospital — Local services in Town of Brookhaven

We were told of the Jewelry Hospital by our neighbor..actually 2 neighbors. We met Laura (the owner AND the jeweler..more on that later), her daughter Riley, and her sister Barbara. We came for a watch battery. Then we asked about bands. She suggested A place, and she would install it. We also had a watch repaired..a rare Disney Bongo watch. Unlike other places, they were in touch with us all the time. Plus, unlike some stores that have an occasional in-house jeweler, this is Laura's business. She is trained and does the repairs right there. We have dealt with other stores, in Rocky Point, Smithtown, and Deer Park. This place has a huge difference. They really care. I mean really. I was in a customer service business for 34 years, and Laura is the real deal. She even fired me (in jest I hope) a few times. Oh..btw, notice when you go in the Triage area, saline drips, and hypodermic pens. Plus, Laura is one of probably only 5 places/persons certified to do laser repairs. I went in based after sifting through hundreds of reviews on google / yelp etc for local jewelry stores that offered cleanings, polishing and over all maintenance! I was so nervous after hearing horror stories of jewelry stores switching out stones, breaking bands, and other tragedies.

What an absolute delight Laura and her team were. I was nervous and she cared for me with grace. I had so many questions and she had the patience to answer each and everyone. My engagement and wedding rings came out looking brand new, she checked the settings to ensure me they were in good condition and I was able to pick up same day. She asked me if I was comfortable leaving them with her and had photo documentation and receipts. I came back with two pairs of earrings, one to be cleaned and one that I had concerns about a loose stone. Again she shared her knowledge and cleaned them so look so stunning!

I came here in hopes of getting my wedding rings resized in a quicker time than a month or two due to my c section.Was greeted with smiles and Laura looked over my rings. She told me the type of setting I had would be difficult and that if a particular thing were to happen while resizing, she would be unable to fix it at this time, however rather then just sending me away she explained that there was someone else she knew that may be able to. She took time to call herself and make sure the other person could have it done in time. The honesty she has puts her above most other jewelers, rather then taking a risk on my rings, like most others would, she referred me elsewhere to make sure everything would be ok.
