Jefferson Shopping Plaza — Local services in Town of Brookhaven

It's really sad to have to leave this review but "Up Port" as people know it, is in complete shambles and disarray. It looks like a ghost town. It's run down and dingey looking. It's a bad area, a high amount of drug addicts and crime. They just recently tore down the old TFCU bank building probably from all the lucrative activity going on there. There's really nothing appealing here. This entire town needs a complete make over. There are very minimal stores that are even still open here. And Port Jeff Bowl is next door. The IHOP also closed down and changed locations to 347 now as well, most likely from it being a horrible area too. Don't walk around here at night by yourself....

We have shopped and used every business in this shopping center. We have eaten at Sration Coffee House for over 40 years. The thought that Brookhaven sold it's soul to a developer who will destroy the feeling of this COMMUNITY for some notion that a food court is what's needed is a sad commentary on tge lack of knowledge about the community...

They need to fix the parking lot. Its crazy. I mainly come here to go to Familly Dollar and the post office. They really need to fix the parking lot. Its bad. Cars coming from all different directions. And there's always garbage out of the stores. I feel that we pay enough in taxes and they should fix up...
