When you hear about a chocolatier that gives away free samples, you check it out. As we walked in you're surely reminiscent of all things Willy Wonka. I was the purest form of Augustus wanting to reach over the counter to help myself. Then I was greeted by the candy man himself. His name is Fiton. I'm not sure which was more captivating, his kind/ gentle demeanor or his vast knowledge of all things chocolate? He was more than happy to let us try anything we wanted. He encouraged it. I am a chocolate lover and i have been shopping in this location since it had opened. I have had nothing but great experiences and great chocolate until the other day when i came in to get a gift for my sick mother and a little treat for myself. When it was time to pay my total was around $150 and my card declined. I asked fitone to please try it again and he seemed very annoyed and made it a way big deal infront everyone else in the store. Had a phenomenal experience at Laderach in the Smith Haven Mall. I cannot say enough about the chocolate and the staff. Lisa was courteous, knowledgeable, attentive, business savvy, and if I owned a business I certainly would want to hire her. She goes above and beyond when it comes to customer service.
