It is now 3 weeks later and nothing from Gander Mountain. I did what she requested and never got a reply. NO Emails, NO CALLS no nothing. Now I m starting to wonder if Gander Mountains other responses are fake and Gander Mountain just doesn't care about Customer service. When I responded I gave Gander Mountain my cell phone number and my primary E mail address in my response to their request for me to contact them.
Gander Mtn has in their ad where you can trade in your gun and get an additional $25 gift card toward future purchases. I drove over 14 miles each way to go their store. I got the the firearms area. The SUPER STORE of firearms and took a number. I stood there with 4 other customers for over 30 minutes without seeing a employee. The 3 other people waiting some longer than I said they saw one employee walk by and go into the back of the store without speaking or making eye contact. I got tired of waiting and went to the front of the store and spoke with the one and only cashier. I asked her if there was a manager on duty and she said their is a woman in the shoe department who is supervising the store today. I found her and asked why after spending so much money on firearms and hunting accessories why they didn't have any sales people to assist customers. She didn't answer but got on her radio and asked Firearms Department where they were. She looked at me and said they are BOTH in the rear of the department. I asked her how customers were going to be able to purchase anything with them in the rear and not on the sales floor. She didn't answer that question. They have a number ticket to serve customers in order. I gave her my ticket and said you have become the WALMART of sporting goods stores. We all know Walmart has absolutely NO CUSTOMER SERVICE and now Gander Mountain has taken the number one spot when it comes to poor customer service. Congratulations keep up the good work and you will get business down to where you don't need employees. I was a good customer of Gander MTN now they won't have to worry about seeing me again in their stores. BYE BYE Gander Mountain!
UPDATE TWO WEEKS LATER Still waiting for anyone to respond to my review, NO CALLS, NO E MAILS, Poor service again. This makes me wonder if the responses from "THE COMPANY" are Bullxxxx. If Gander Mountain is so concerned and asked me to contact them and I did contact them why haven't I heard from them. Maybe it is because they know the problem exists and they don't plan on doing anything about it. Ignore him and maybe he will go away quietly...... NOPE not...
Read moreNever buy a camper from camping world. As first time camper owners my husband and I came here excited to finally get a camper! We went and looked at a camper found the one we love. They said they have to do an inspection to make sure everything’s good to go and ready for us to pick up and winterize it. We go to pick it up ask if it is winterized and the guy tells us yes it is winterized and everything was looked over and ready to go. We bought In July 2024. We own our own business so could not take a camping trip right away, come October we book a Halloween camping trip, we used the electric but not the water or plumbing as it was a quick camping trip and did not want to have to re winterize the camper. We have never put water into the camper. Come this year we get it all ready to take our first trip of the season, my husband go to flush everything out. Water is pouring into our camper, he looks and two pipes were never connected. So whoever did this inspection did not hook things up correctly like they were supposed to upon inspection that was supposed to take place. My husband hooks it all up cleans up all the water it dumped into our camper. Tries again, and notices water is dumping out of the water tank underneath the camper. He immediately stops the water calls camping world and they get us in to see what’s going on. They tell us we’re still under warranty since it has not been a year so they will fix it. We get a call, they tell us the warranty people do not want to cover it so they will have to find out if they can. My husband gets an email and they try and tell us we never winterized it cause a pipe burst and they will not be replacing it and that we have to pay. We SHOW THEM THE STICKER SIGNED BY SOMEONE THERE THAT IT WAS WINTERIZED, and still get told no. This is absolutely ridiculous. THEY TAKE ADVANTAGE OF FIRST TIME CAMPER BUYERS. Absolute crap customer service. All about the money and not pleasing any of the customers. We will not be doing business with them ever again.
We will be calling corporate, BBB, and anyone else we have to, to get this straightened out. These people are money hungry and it’s absolutely ridiculous.

Read moreA week ago I purchased a set of arrows. I had them cut to length by the archery service department at Gander. While shooting one of the arrows the tip insert came loose, all other 5 arrows have been flawless. Today I returned to gander to have the service department repair the faulty arrow. Waited at the service department for 5 minutes with no employees around. At that point another customer with a rifle case approached the service counter, he waited with me for about another 5 minutes before we saw anybody, the first person to come to the counter was Randy. He asked the other person at the counter what he needed done and the other customer replied he needed a rifle bore sighted. I interrupt and tell Randy that I haven't been helped yet. He continues to help the other customer. And takes the rifle. I kept waiting while Randy is helping another customer. At that point four other customers approach the service desk looking to buy hunting licenses, Randy called another employee, Casey over. Casey starts helping the four other customers with their licenses. After Casey cashes out the first customer Randy finishes the boresight, talks to the customer about the service then walks out of the department. I tell Casey that I have been waiting 15 minutes and he called Seth over. Seth was very friendly, prompt and helped me right away. My arrow was repaired in less than 2 minutes and Seth told me everything he did and told me that if I have any more problems with that arrow he would exchange it for a new one. Seth is a great employee and has excellent customer service. Randy and Casey should take some lessons on customer service from Seth. A 2 minute repair took over 20 minutes because of Randy and Casey's lack of customer service. I have purchased thousands of dollars of firearms, arrows, ammo, hunting clothes, scopes and even my liberty 64 gun safe from Gander within the past year and have never experienced such lack of customer respect as I have today. Ganders prices are a bit higher than their competitors but I was willing to pay a little extra for customer selection and customer service.
