Hart’s Cafe & Deli — Restaurant in Town of Cicero

Impeccable customer service! On this particular day Mr. Hart was single handedly "holding down the fort" and he did not miss a beat. Extremely welcoming and kind upon entering his establishment. He took the time to walk us through his menu starting with beverages up to weekly specials.

While everything sounded amazing we chose to order their brisket sandwich, haddock platter (comes with seasoned fries) and garlic wings. Our food came out quickly and fresh!

The brisket was extremely tender and I truly enjoyed it. My husband devoured his haddock platter. He stated that the fish was very fresh and he enjoyed the subtle hints of caribbean flavor profiles throughout the breading.

If you are trying to stay clear of fried foods then you are in luck, Hart's Cafe offers chicken wings that are flavorful & baked. I can definitely appreciate the healthier option for sure.

If you're heading east on route 31 from route 11, do yourself a favor and bypass Cracker Barrel. Turn right into Aldi Plaza and drive around until you get to Hart's Cafe & Deli. My mom & I shared the brisket sandwich, which we were told by Miguel (the owner) is slow roasted, hand sliced, & topped with his homemade mustard. We also ordered some Mac & cheese {which is homemade} and seasoned fries. Everything came with a generous helping and was absolutely delicious! My mom also made a comment about how clean the place was. So do yourself a favor and stop by this little hidden gem to try some of the best homemade food...

Just had the pastrami sandwich at Harts and it has great flavor. The meat was warm, the sandwich huge, lettuce and tomato crisp, roll was toasted. Also have 3 mustards to try on it, I tried the spicy and traditional which were delicious they also have a honey if you are looking for sweet. The pickle spear was crisp and crunchy as well. The chef and cashier (maybe owners) were friendly and nice to talk with about the menu. I also took home a carrot muffin that I will try later but looks good as well! I suggest you make a visit and try...
