I myself have had issues with Aspen, and their billing (which seems to change at their convenience) several times in the past. I had a contract negotiated originally and they (Brent) later told me that I did not have privileges on my membership that I was told I had and had been using for many months leading up to this. He even pulled my old contract, told me I was correct, and then proceeded to tell me that the employee made a mistake and that I had to pay the difference....YEARS LATER...I had to pay more money to get a privilege that I had already been using, and was tempted to leave a poor review at the time. I own a business and I really hate receiving negative feedback over petty issues, so even though I was annoyed at the time I refrained because I believe what goes around comes around and if I held off I was doing the right thing.....however....my girlfriend has recently attempted to terminate her membership that she paid in full for a year in advance, by phone, and was told by (Brent) the manager that she needed to come in to the location and cancel in person, or "hand write a letter" and mail it to the gym if she wanted to cancel....he then threatened her that if she didn't, he was going to begin billing her card for membership dues. She has put no card on file with this company so if he bills her it will be with the card she used to pay for the membership with originally and has given them no authorization no bill. SO in short...I wasn't going to go this route, because I have an absolute disgust for this man Brent and I felt that the company need not suffer for one man, However now that this is affecting a loved one and she (who has just given birth to my son, and has trouble getting out and about with a newborn) is being bullied by this punk, I feel a personal obligation to my fellow man, and to anyone involved with this company, to give a heads up that this is common practice at this joint. This is one of many stories I could reference....I hear it all the time about this guy. In whole .... a nice facility, but when an employee operates like this, it overshadows any good that may take place behind...

I have contacted you multiple times this year asking you to stop charging my card for a membership that I cancelled last year. Most recently, on 16 Sep 2024 I called and spoke to a member of your staff who put me in touch with the GM. After multiple email exchanges I was told that you would investigate it and figure out why I am still being charged and get back to me and since then no one has gotten back to me, I have not received a refund to my card, and I am still being charged.

I physically came into your gym in Cicero last year and cancelled my membership on an IPAD per the representative at the desk. I asked if that is all that I had to do and I was told yes, after speaking with someone on the phone a year later, they asked if I received an email as a secondary cancellation procedure, my response was no, and then I asked; why would I need to validate my cancellation if I physically walked into your business and cancelled it on your computer equipment? Furthermore, after multiple inquiries over the past year, if this was indeed a requirement; how come no one has sent me this magical cancellation email that would prevent you from continuing to charge my card this membership fee that I cancelled a year ago.
I was told that you would work this, confirm my refund, and cancel this reoccurring fee. I am sure that you can tell that from the entry scans in your system, I have only entered your establishment maybe two times in the last five years, so I am not sure why this continues to be a problem.
I am a hardworking, honest individual who faithfully paid my dues to you, and for you to continue to take my money after being asked so many times is “Wrong” on all accords.
I am requesting that my card be refunded from the date of my cancellation and that you stop charging my card. A written response to my request...
Read moreThe new partnership with Crunch is refreshing. The new equipment was needed, and is all great. Plenty of equipment to go around , no more waiting in line or constantly nagging people sitting on their phone “how many more sets bro” to get them moving.
My biggest gripe, the hours which have changed more than once recently. (As of writing this review the hours have changed for Fridays effective 17 days ago, they now close at 9p but a google search still shows them open till 10p). Social media shows the updated hours but didn’t think to have to check social media.
There are no respectable gyms within 30 mins of my house apart from Powerhouse Bville, or Planet Fitness (a joke to the fitness community) that are 24/7, or that have late weekend hours. Crunch-Cicero appears to have a pretty big LEO, First Responder, and military demographic, all of which are shift workers myself included. Most weekends it’s difficult to fit a workout in my schedule, or at least ones where i’m not planning my day around being able to rush in 30 or 45 minutes before close.
Would be cool if Crunch could fill the gap where other local gyms fall short on the weekends. But I get i’m likely the minority...
