Went there yesterday with two working phones and asked the clerk to install the SIMs cards that Spectrum had sent to us thru the mail. I believe that this is a new location for Spectrum. When I left 3-1/2 hours later both my phones were not working. #Excuses ran from we had the wrong SIMs cards, AT&T locked the phones. The young man who was attempting to help us kept switching SIMs cards. At one point I went thru the garbage to find a card that had been discarded. He also sent me to AT&T to ask them to unlock both phones. Which Anthony at AT&T did.
But no luck for the two at Spectrum. The lead fellow who was supposed to have the experience put his coat on and wanted to leave. I told him you can't leave us without a phone for 14 days.
Here's a few comments. Both of them lacked the simple experience to install the cards and get my two phones working. They don't an inbound phone number and they don't stock SIMs cards at this location.
So I went to AT&T, less than a mile away. I left AT&T with two working phones. The At&T location had 1 man to help and run the store.
One of the two fellows at the Spectrum location really wanted to help and just didn't know. The other who was supposed to support did more wise cracking and wanted to leave. I said you can't leave us like this!
Spectrum should give this store much more training, SIMs cards, and a phone number direct...
Read moreUpdate - I spoke to the store manager and he insisted it was an accident and offered to do something with my account to make up for the inconvenience. I was also helped by Bill while there and he was great.
-Original Review- I waited 45 minutes to be helped at this location. This unfortunately meant it was around 15 minutes to close by the time I was served. I was there to upgrade my phone
Under the guise of “checking something before we got started” the rep went into my phone and turned on stolen device protection, right in front of me while I watched. This enforces a 60 minute waiting period before the device can be wiped for trade in meaning I could not upgrade at that time and had to leave.
I believe the employee did this so they did not have to stay late. This is not something I am unempathetic to, but the dishonesty and over the top performance he put on was gross. I wasn’t even going to ask for my stuff to be transferred, so he likely could have gotten me out of there in the 15 minutes we had.
I called customer service twice, once to report this and again to cancel because I was so angry. I want to give credit to the agents on the phone for being so nice...
Read moreTook equipment in and had cable removed. Only kept internet and phone. After they had trouble with their computer systems, they finally told me I was all set. Got home and found I had no internet service. Called spectrum, as many of you know, you are going to a long pre-recorded process to finally get to speak to a technician. Finally tech told me they could not fix problems from there, so would have a tech come out today to resolve the problem. Got a call from the tech coming to my home, only to tell me there wasn't anyone available to come out for 2 days. No internet, phone, etc. What if I used this for business purposes. I wouldn't be able to run the business for a couple of days. The people and the store and the ones I spoke to on my cell phone (which is through a different company) were very polite. My problem is no one was capable of correcting the problem. So far this whole thing of just removing the cable, but keeping everything else has turned into one...
