I had a very unfortunate experience and Iâm hoping this is an isolated case.
I went to Ulta out of convenience, Iâm normally a Sephora shopper but the one in Khols takes no Sephora coupons or rewards which is a while other issue.
So I went to get my typical OUAI product load. While I was there I saw a sample size Olaplax shampoo and conditioner and decided to try it. When I got home I loved it and made the decision to return the OUAI. This is when I noticed the problem.
When I initially checked out the girl was frazzled and added and dropped items multiple times. It became very confusing. I had to help her locate the last item that was not rung in after counting 6 items on the receipt and 7 items in my bag. She talked over me and made things very difficult scanning items multiple times then removing them from the receipt. Finally after me repeating that the mini Olaplex conditioner was the item not on the receipt she scanned it and I went on my way. I rechecked the receipt and saw all my items and all was well.
Except it wasnât. I was charged for a OUAI fry shampoo instead of a fine hair shampoo and missed this in the receipt. I didnât have dry shampoo so Iâm not sure how that was scanned and added to the receipt at all. This wouldnât have been a big deal theyâre similar in price. However I tried to return the shampoo.
When I went to make the return I had never even taken the items out of the bag and had the original receipt. The women scanned the items and said âthe shampoo was not purchased on this receipt, did you buy it in another transactionâ I said no confused because I had only been to ULTA once.
Ultimately, because it was not on the receipt I could not get a refund (sure that makes since) but they also kept the item in store. Telling me because it wasnât purchased it had to stay in the store. That also made sense, until I realized I was charged for an item and hey kept the equivalent item robbing me of $32 I spent but never received an item.
So all in all. Idk if this was some elaborate scheme this store preformed or an honest mistake. But ULTA ultimately stole $32 from me and I will never return.
I hope this was an isolated in incident and other have a...
Read moreI cannot say enough!!!! I walked in, without an appointment, completely clueless. I was in desperate need of everything and way out of my element. Here comes JAMIE to the rescue! First off, she was was super nice, not condescending at all, incredibly helpful. She asked me what I needed, what the goal was, my budget, how comfortable I was with makeup. She walked me around the store, picking items, describing them to me, why to use them and when. She even went so far to write everything down, right to what numbered brush to go with what product, and the order of application of products, and how to apply. She made the experience less stressful. She was reassuring, and funny, witty. I CANNOT THANK HER ENOUGH!!! And when I went to use the products for the first time, following her very specific instructions, OMG IT WAS FLAWLESS!!! Photographs and videos came out great! People commented. THANK YOU JAMIE!!
An additional thanks to Chianna too for her support and words of confidence!
AMAZING EXPERIENCE! HIGHLY RECOMMEND ESPECIALLY FOR THE TIMID...
Read moreNever ordering curbside pickup here again. I understand things get busy in the store (i worked retail myself) but the point of curbside is for a speed and convenience factor, and i waited for at least 8 minutes with no word on the status of my order being brought. Was able to cancel over the phone
As a mom of 2 under, i am trying to reinvest in feeling like a human being again, and i thought some mascara would help this process. I always have my children and anyone who has to take kids in and out of car seats knows, it's a hassle to say the absolute least. However, sitting in my car with two sobbing children and no idea as to when I'll get my order that is supposed to be all ready to go? Not any more relaxing. Anyone trying to reclaim their identity outside of motherhood hopefully understands why this was a hugely disappointing experience. Do yourself a favor, don't come here for convenience or speed. At least with the curbside pickup, you...
