Five Guys — Restaurant in Town of Clay

Don’t go very often. 3 times now actually. And everytime, our order falls to the wayside. So no more. It’s a like a fire drill everytime in there. First time ordered in person, stood there for 20 minutes while everyone else got theirs and people that walked in after us and did their orders at the counter after us. Ok let it go. Ordered just milkshakes next time online to avoid that nonsense, and same thing. Stood there 20 minutes for an order that was supposed to be ready for 5:15 and didn’t get it until 5:35. Ok let’s try one more time. Order just milkshakes again tonight online. Tell them I’m there, the lady calls it out and starts making milkshakes. I stand there for 15 minutes while 9 other milkshake orders go out. Think ok maybe they’re just behind. The lady looks at me 3 separate times without acknowledging that I’m still waiting. They get done with the milkshake orders and just chatting. So I chime in at this point that I’m still waiting on a pickup for milkshakes and been there for 15 minutes now. Asks my name again and says oh right here and laughs like she had no idea who I was. Order was for 6:30. Got it at 6:45 only because I asked. No more....

First trip to a five guys ever and I have to say it was disappointing. Out of the 3 burgers we ordered, only one was correct. Ordered a burger with grilled onions, jalapeños and A1 sauce. Grilled onions and A1 were missing. Ordered a simple burger with ketchup and mayo. Welp, no mayo. The only plus was the regular fries were good, but I didn’t realize they gave you so many. The whole bottom of my bag was full. Had to throw a lot away. Cajun fries are good, but way too spicy for my taste. I was expecting seasoned or slightly spicy. These were downright hot. Probably won’t go back. They weren’t even that busy. Only a couple people inside and waiting at curbside. Just lack of caring and paying attention. If I can order a customized burger, that’s what I want. I can go anywhere and get a normal burger. Why bother if throwing a few customized ingredients on a burger is too much for the staff to handle. Not sure why this place is so popular....

Let me tell you this... First off, we love Five Guys. It's pricey, but I don't care. I love every location, and I've been to many!! This 'new' store, hands down, is THE BEST!!! We made the mistake of stopping during a Friday night dinner rush. We had two parties before us that hadn't ordered yet. Literally placed our order within five minutes of walking in! The place was packed!! People were getting their orders in a matter of minutes!! This location was fully staffed and not one staff member wasn't on their A game. Our order came up within 8 minutes from the time we ordered. PHENOMENAL SERVICE FROM EVERY EMPLOYEE. The minute a table left, someone immediately cleaned it. Yall definitely deserve 10 STARS. Whoever sees this within the corporate office of the company, please forward this message to everyone employed at the Clay NY location. I've been in restaurant industries for over twenty-five years. Yall totally...
