I felt like a number or an animal. No smile, eye contact or minimal pleasantries from the receptionist, doctor's assistant or dermatologist. Examining room was cold, music was too loud. I was given a paper gown to wear open to the back, then waited without a covered place to sit, wearing my jacket (cold room) while I waited maybe around 15 minutes. Dermatologist started the exam without describing what was to happen and how. Then asked "could I please finish my exam" when I got nervous and moved in a way that didn't follow her plan, but I didn't know what was going on. Luckily I had experienced cold freeze treatment for a pre-cancer cells before or I would have been freaked out, as no explanation was offered. The exam was thorough, however answers to my few questions had an edge of hurriedness, almost irritation, certainly short. Dermatologist did not ask if I knew what to expect after the treatment or if I had any other questions. I did have more questions but was uncomfortable and forgot to ask until I was back in my car. After the exam, the assistant said to get dressed and I was free to leave then she left the exam room. Read moreI was so apprehensive about my appointment as I had a very disappointing derm experience years ago at a different place. I needed to be brave and just do this for my peace of mind as I had several skin concerns. WOW… from the receptionist to the exam, my appointment went amazing. Brenda reassured me that my skin is “not my fault”. She looked at all my concerns and gave me advice on how to treat or not worry about some of the moles/skin issues. She wondered what I was doing with my face as she said it looked years younger than the skin on my body. What a nice compliment… my answer was “MaryKay” for over 40 years! She and her assistant listened to me and reviewed how to care for my issues along with giving me an informative brochure. My fears of going to dermatology are gone!! I’m so grateful I made this...
Read moreI called to see if I could have a squeeze me in appointment for a weeping bug bite that was not healing. The receptionist was outstanding. She secured an appointment for next day then put my call on hold while she checked to see if they could possibly squeeze me in today. Success! Then better yet I received a call to come in early. Beyond my expectation. Dr Brenda was excellent as usual. Front desk person and Dr Brenda assistant all superb. Kind and courtesy. Great experience. Thankful an office is located in Wautoma. ...
