Before I walked into Verizon this afternoon, I had spent over an hour and a half in the nearby AT&T store, with whom I had been a customer for over 10 years, and they told me there was no way I could upgrade my phone plan and keep my phone number. Mind you, this was the same phone number I had since I first joined AT&T. After an hour and a half they said they couldn’t do anything for me besides open a case, and even then they wouldn’t even consider the issue for another 7 days wait.
I decided to venture to Verizon to see if they would allow me to create a plan and keep my phone number, because that is what was important to me outside of the phone itself. I was greeted by Chance Williams, who saved the day and told me it would be no issue to keep my same phone number. Amazing how my own provider couldn’t do this for me yet a new provider, Verizon, could do this with ease.
Chance made sure that as a new customer I had all the perks and best deals to fit my needs, while hooking me up with a sweet iPad as part of the deal for a small addition to my monthly bill.
Not only was Chance friendly and helpful, but he helped what started as an awful phone experience turn into one of the best. I am grateful for the excellent customer service and support provided by Chance and Verizon, which was provided in less than half the time it took AT&T to completely disregard my needs as their 10 year customer. I am happy to take my loyalty to Verizon where they actually care about my wants and needs. Thank you Chance...

When the devices arrived I was promptly notified and went to pick them up. Went through the entire setup process and then was told that the trade in value of the device was half what I was originally quoted (by both Verizon over the phone and in the store) when the devices were ordered. Another warning to others is that this store FORCES you to add device protection that is $19 per device per month claiming that Verizon even requires it, which after speaking to Verizon IS A LIE. Mader her return everything and reactive my old phone. Ended up sitting there for almost 3 hours trying to get my old phone reactivated and the line for the watch removed. Our experience at the other Verizon store on route 60 was slightly better as the deal offered was what was recieved. However, I will only deal directly with Verizon in the future and avoid any and all authorized resellers. The only person I worked with at the store was the "manager" Tanya. If you consider going...

Key highlights: Did not receive credit for my trade in before 9 months of the worst customer service hell you can imagine. In person, on phone, by email, and through corporate.
Extra charge: Corporate informed me resolution was held up because staff said they gave me $300 cash. This is absurd, I paid them $600+ dollars.
Bait & Switch contract: Was told I needed to lock in a 24 month contract to get savings. This was already bad but was later revealed they signed me up for 36 months.
Being lied to: Was told the issue was resolved four different times yet nothing had changed and I needed to get corporate to eventually fix.
About me: I don’t think I’ve ever left more than one review for anything, this was so spectacularly bad I feel compelled. It almost was raised to getting the police and lawyers involved. I am generally a very nice guy, perfect credit score, honest, and this could have been so simple.
Advice: Use a main Verizon store and not an independent contractor...
