Stay away with larger purchases. We should have known better, I have a co-worker who ordered a brand new lawn mower from this same location and it arrived scratched up and dinged beyond belief. He returned his for a refund and bought elsewhere. On to our experience. On 9/23/2022 my wife purchased a zero turn (pictured) for $2,799 + tax. She made the arrangements with Brandon at the front desk and confirmed that we would be back to pick it up with a trailer by 10/1/2022. On 9/29/2022 I arrived with a truck & trailer to pick up the unit. I checked in at the front desk and was told that someone would have it out momentarily. Meanwhile, I went to prep the trailer with tie-downs to load the unit and be on my way. A few minutes went past and nobody came to the loading zone and there was no mower in sight. I went back in to the store and was told that they could not find the mower on premise. More time went by and there was a small clan starring at the front desk computer screen trying to figure out where this mower is. Turns out that the unit was sold after we bought it, this was the last unit they had in stock. Sue, the front desk manager made no attempt at locating another one at the same model and price. Turns out that this was a reconditioned mower and that was never disclosed to my wife at time of purchase. Sue did offer us a smaller unit at a higher cost, which we were not interested in. We asked for a full refund and left frustrated as our grass was in need of mowing as our previous unit had died. That same evening we contacted our local Cub Cadet dealer (Nel's Tractor) and asked if they had the same model in stock. The owner Debbie confirmed that they had one but needed to confirm with the sales reps that it was not already committed to (imagine that). The next day we completed the deal with Nel's and couldn't have been happier with the sales team's attention to detail and commitment to us as buyers. Unfortunately they could not sell it at the price Home Depot had theirs listed at. In the end Home Depot's mistake cost us $1,000. If you want some nails or screws, this may be the place to go, but for larger...
Read moreI hate leaving a negative review and I'm not sure who is at fault, or is it just circumstances. Our refrigerator died and we rented one til Home Depot in Corning could have dellivered. Picked the refrigerator that best fit our dimensions using they're dimensions listed online. It showed up for delivery today the installer took some measurements and told us it would not fit. We showed him the Home Depot website where it lists the dimensions. He said yes this happens all the time.. So returned it and the driver issued us a return slip to be credited back. We drove 35 miles to the store as it is the closest Home Depot(you cannot even order from our local Lowes) . Once in store we were directed quite rudely by customer service to go back to appliances. Once there we were issued a refund receipt. However hearing our story no one seemed interested in helping us find a refrigerator, we walked around with a tape measure for an hour measuring refrigerators, after we recieved no help we decided to go home and shop online. After an extensive search we decided on one that would definitely fit. Went to check out.... it said payment declined... so we called the Home Depot card.... and the first woman assured us that it should be credited back in just a couple of hours but then put us on hold to check, after 20 minutes another lady answered the phone and we started all over with her. And after being on hold another 10 minutes, she came back on and said it wouldn't be credited back for 3 to 5 days. So after 2.5 weeks with home depot. We still have no refrigerator and no idea when we can actually order and receive one. My worst shopping experience ever, and there isn't even...
Read moreOn 2/25/25 I went to HD and ordered two exterior storm doors. The installer came and took measurements. On 3/6 I went to HD to pay so the installation could take place. I went to the door area and there was no one there to help. I went to the customer service desk and was told she couldn't take my payment. I went back to the door area and a very kind delivery gentleman told me he would find someone to help me. He took me back to a man who was previously a manager of the door area and this man told me the system was different now and he couldn't help me. The very kind delivery gentleman then took me back to I believe the carpet area where salesperson KXL6830 was able to take my payment. It took about an hour to finally pay for the doors.
The installer called me and said HD did not notify him the payment was made until 4 days later so would install on 3/20. I received a call from the Northeast Regional Manager for HD notify me that there was a new subcontractor for my doors. This man called me (from New Jersey) and said the previous installer was let go and he was going to come and measure. I told him the measurements were done by the previous installer. I still don't know when I'm getting the doors.
The entire experience was very frustrating and annoying (except for...
