Went there to sell and observe after reading some of these reviews to kind of test and see for myself. And I also did not have the greatest experience. I first was greeted by an employee telling me about having a solid container for my clothes if I bring any in. That is fine but it is also not posted on their website. So one lady was kind enough to let me sell today regardless. But then another employee made sure to remind me and I told them I already knew thank you. As they're looking over my clothes I am observing what they sell. Mind you very high priced for some of the quality I saw. Some shirts don't even have brand tags due to the wear and tear. (And based on what's advertised that shouldn't have been sold it'd be too out of date and too much wear) Shoes sold for 9$ but have stains all over them and were sherpa so they had that old raggity look from the wear. Things were stained, clearly outdated, and looked like they should have been donated vs sold. Also selling Shein items for more than the asking price on their website when it advertised 70% off regular retail price. I brought in stainless only worn once or twice items. Most still had tags on them. Brands such as Under Armour, Calvin Klein, Nike, Buckle, Silver, and more. They offered 21$ for like 6 things. Mind you some of these items they sell for 20$ or more and buckle jeans 40$ or more. Some of these items were new due to the tags on them but purchased a few years ago. And my newer items that were purchased in the past year were the ones that were out of date according to them. End result: I have found better quality items for far less at the goodwill in Appleton. Even Ross sells some of these items for less and NONE of it is used and all of it name brand. Even though they sell a lot at this business and are willing to state that, they do not meet up to what they say/advertise. Yes they are a busy business, but i was the first one there this morning and they took 5 minutes to examine my things. There was noone else in the store. Other people's items are obviously being sold and resaled that look like they should have been donated so it amazes me that the quality of mine was not up to par. From reading the reviews and seeing it for myself I hope others think twice before thinking they'll be treated fairly at this place. I did bring a few items up to the counter that I felt were too worn to sell for the price and the shein item that stood out to me for the upcharged price. I got a heavy sigh/eye roll. It is what it is.
Check it out for yourself like I did.. I don't think it's coincidence that these type of reviews are repetitive for this particular location. And yes Green Bay location would have taken everything I brought today. They're very nice and have had a lot of my business.
P.s I do my research before shopping at certain places. They're owned by Winmark Corporation. Also they do get guidebooks on how to know what's good to buy and sell. And after seeing those things on the rack I definitely have questions about their training because they're definitely not supposed to take things that look like that. And name brands only. Tagged clothes only because theres a date on the tag that will help determine when the product was made. All things i was able to find wrong during my visit. Maybe some retraining would help solve...

I had some decent items in my tote bag - Lulu, gymshark, adidas, and some tie dye pants among a few other things. They wanted a measly $14 dollars for two items. One of those items (a Lululemon align tank!) is very popular and could easily sell for $30 plus at Platoās. And I believe it was only because it was on top and they probably decided not look at anything else. I also l brought a backpack, a purse and a gym bag and I was told ābackpacks donāt sell hereāā¦. I see those items there all the time. And I frequent this place at least every other week.
Figured with back to school coming up those would easily sell!
I was also told there was stains⦠I can guarantee that my items had barely any stains, if any⦠but yet I see stuff on the rack that have holes (not the jeans that are meant to have holes, either) and stains all the time. Just saw a purple workout tank with black marks all over itā¦
Most of your employees are also incredibly snobby and rude. Iāve seen many other reviews saying the same exact thing. I havenāt used your kiosk system yet; and the girl with red curly hair and a Taylor Swift shirt was so snotty to me. She snapped āput your id hereā, but that was not helpful at all, I still wasnāt sure how to. I asked her to help me and she rolled her eyes at me and walked away.
Thereās a couple of your girls that are actually very sweet and helpful but most of them are not. Iāve seen reviews, and heard for myself where they blatantly negatively talk about customers WITHIN EARSHOT. Unacceptable. You guys definitely need to do some sensitivity training or hire all new staff. These teenage girls are not ready for the real world of work if they are going to treat other people like Iāve heard and seen. In times like this you guys cannot treat people this way.
Iāve had luck selling here before - once I made $58 dollars. Another time I made another decent amount. But something must have changed since. I love getting a good deal here, but Iām never going to waste my time selling...

I brought in two large buckets full of stuff and they didn't take any of it. I had everything from homecoming and summer dresses, to tank tops, to general casual shirts, to sweaters and cardigans, to pants and shorts, to dressy heels I wore to dances. They told me they wouldn't take my things because they weren't "teenager-y" enough, were worn out, or were too out of style. I wore all of these things in high school, and wore things until they didn't fit anymore. So did I buy them a while ago? Sure. But the styles are definitely still things and brands you would see in the mall (they had a lot of neon in the store -- I would not consider neon to be in style). I wore them in high school, so how they're not "teenager-y" enough, I couldn't tell you. Also the fact that she told me some of my stuff was worn out is just unbelievable because I keep all my clothes in very good condition. It's not like there were holes or rips or discolorations or anything. I really think it'd be nice if they gave you some proof in your items of how your stuff isn't what they're looking for.
What irked me even more, is I walked in the store with my stuff (I'd never been there before so I wasn't sure who I was supposed to go to) and I walked up to a counter and the girl didn't even look at me until I had already been standing there for several seconds.
A sidenote: they require you come to get your payment and your things before the end of the business day or you forfeit your payment to store credit and your leftover items to them for donation. I find that ridiculous and extremely inflexible. At least give someone 24-48 hours. They need to make their rules and expectations clearer on the website.
So all in all, I spent close to an hour and a half driving to and from the location four times for...
