My 17 year old son needed a suit for the junior prom. So he and I went to Macys, to find my old trusty suit department guy, who I have been going to for over 20 years. He has been my goto guy for formal fashion and work attire since I moved to Albany in the 90's.
So, when I asked, "Where is my guy?", the tall young man behind the counter immediately knew who I was talking about and told me that he had retired. I asked if he had gotten a chance to train under him, and he let me know he came trained, and didn't need to have trained under the former expert.
Without using a meassuring tape, he looked at my son and says, "He's a 38 long, I gaurantee it."
And, indeed he was.
He helped get the matching slacks and knew the right waist and length size on the first try without a tape. I was very impressed. He won me over.
I don't know where he was trained, but it is apparent that he has worked hard to know his craft. Hope he will be there when I need him for years to come.
His name is Max. I called him, "Magic Max", as we walked away. I highly recommend asking for...
Read moreLast week I had a terrible experience with customer service. My friend invited me, she had a purchase for her elder mother. When she asked for double bag she was denied. My friend asked to buy an additional bag and she was denied for “security reasons”? Then I made a purchase and no bag was given to me either. I asked and again, denied. I went to another countertop and obtained a bag for my friend’ mother without any problem of “security issues” I feel that security issues referred of accusing me of the possibility of stealing something if we were provided with an additional paper bag. I felt so insulted that I returned what I bought, declined to open a Macy’s account and will never visit your business again. I’m a latino senior woman and my friend is African American. I will share this experience with as many people I can so they can consider before...
Read moreIts been a while since Ive been shopping for any new clothes, So I figured why not go and buy something that hasn't been worn and washed 100 times. I seen a lot of different clothes and different household things I liked/ wanted, but I was a little shocked by some of the prices. Like I said it's been a while since I shopped for clothes, so I might be a little out of touch of the prices.. I know we pay more for better quality, but $100 for one pair of jeans or $80 for a shirt, Damn everything cost so much today. One thing I will say is There weren't really any sales going on that day and I didn't realize the mall closed earlier than they use to, so I wasn't able to look as much as I needed. So I ended up leaving without buying anything. I will definitely go back when there is a sale and at an earlier time. Obviously everyone...
