Every experience over the years has been fantastic. From the first visits where we were in awe of how many amazing things were in this gem of a store in Saranac Lake, to getting to know one another a little more each year and finding common threads criss-crossing through our histories.

Dan and his employees are always willing to answer questions, explain how things work, explain a game in general, or sit down and teach you the basics to see if its something you'd really enjoy.

Pertaining to life matters, we've talked about a lot of differing topics over the years. Sometimes we agree, sometimes we don't. I don't hold it against him; he, just like each of us is entitled to his own opinion and perspective. He has never made me feel wrong, or any other negative emotion after a discussion in which we don't see things the same way. If we hit on something that makes me uncomfortable, I change the subject.

Was great at first when I went in, friendly owner. Was in with my kids who are all Lego nuts. Planned to buying a few of the hard to find sets they had. Owner asked where we were from, what we planned in doing when we were down (day trip). When I stated we were going to ride in the Adirondack Scenic Railroad, he became critical. Glad the arrows is going to be ripped up. Hates his taxes going to it. Very negative. I really don't care about his thoughts on the subject, or the politics involved with it. A must-stop in Saranac Lake. Imagine --- a real toy and games and building blocks and cute party favors/stocking stuffers store! Owned by a local gentleman, not some mega-corporation! With reasonable prices, an expert staff, and great hours! Want it wrapped? Done. With a smile. Put differently, many said this store wouldn't last very long in the current era of mega-stores and online ordering. Many were wrong.
