We paid $2400 to reupholster the small lounge with fairly simple lines/modern style. Had we known the quality or work and smell the lounge will inherit from being in the smoking environment for few weeks, we would never decide to live it there. If you want to get substandard quality work and smelly furniture coming back to your house, this is definitely place for you:) as the front of the lounge is ok, the sides and back are really poorly executed. The seat was replaced, but it was not properly measured, so it protrudes outside of the longe frame. The under-seat fabric has a stain. Not visible, but paying 2400 you would expect top quality work. Also the owner promised to make big pillows for free when he accepted the work (didn’t ask for it); when we came to pick it up he generously threw small pillow for free; not that I cared, but he forgot what he had promised and argued that he would never commit making big pillows for such a small lounge. Recently, we decided to reupholster our kitchen dinette chairs. A friend recommended Dercola's, which turned out to be our first and only stop. Richie, the owner, was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and helpful, which made our decision to have him do the work an easy one. Not only does he have an extensive collection of fabrics to choose from, but he also showed us the quality and strength of the padding that he was going to use to support the chairs, all at a very fair price. Just had a 3rd visit (job order date was 2/20/25) to my home to repair a couch which was not done properly. The cushions sag and are worse than the original cushions ("20 percent less firm" than the original 6-year-old cushions to quote Mr. Dercola). I was forced to ask Mr. Dercola to leave my home as he became argumentative, belligerent and aggressive. He is nasty foul mouthed, and his work was anything but professional.
