Called 1 week before I closed on my house to schedule new locks on the front door and a new lock on our manual garage door. They charged an $85 service charge (which most do) on top of the two front door locks. The technicians were kind and courteous but they said they didn't have the part to change the garage lock and they would order it and get back to us. When we called back a week later they said they couldn't do the garage. Why not just tell us this in the first place so we can hire a company that can do everything we hired them for? I contacted Merrick Master Locksmiths after having a very bad and stressful experience with being ripped off by a fake locksmith the day earlier. I spoke with Steve and he was responsive, arrived very shortly after I contacted his shop, and was able to change the lock with the correct one quickly and efficiently. Went there for a simple spare key; left with a check engine light, and neither of my key fabs able to remote start the car as it was prior to coming. They told me that they weren’t responsible and that it was purely coincidence so I took the car to a shop only to be told that they in fact never recalibrated the key and because of that the car threw a code for a communications error.
